“Food was ok but service is a little complicated. They do try but a lot of the times is a misunderstanding on the orders or pieces you need. The spicy chicken is always darker. They are always training a new member. But I have to say I always been happy with my orders. I come to this place once or twice a month. The manager is a nice lady. Never had a problem. There is parking around the corner. They have 1 or 2 tables for eating inside but its better to eat in your car. This is where I dont understand people. THE UBER EATS PEOPLE please and I mean please stop confusing the order lady and stop rushing her, once this is done everything gets crazy and everyone is now confused and waiting more time. The place is clean. No bathrooms would recommend only in store i ordered online before and never get the right pieces you get.“

“The Jerk Loaded Plantain is such a unique concept and definitely worth trying. The flavors were incredible but I do wish it came with more jerk chicken. The plantain to chicken ratio felt a bit off. That said, the jerk chicken itself is absolutely delicious, juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu that includes the jerk chicken. I’d definitely be back.“

“157 Tavern has been a staple in the area for 10 years and is an excellent choice for parties or group gatherings. You can simply provide them with your budget, and they will curate the menu for you, which makes the planning process very convenient.

Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

The avocado chicken cucumber salad was light, refreshing, and a perfect starter. The wings were crispy, juicy, and came with amazing flavor options. The chicken with rice was incredibly satisfying with generous portions, and the ramen was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor.
The drinks complemented the meal perfectly, and the overall quality of the food was excellent. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit.

“I tried the 6 piece lemon pepper hot wings, they were pretty tasty and flavorful. I have a high spice tolerance so it more delicious than spicy to me and could have been fried a little longer for more crunch but overall I did enjoy the wings and would recommend!“

Yes, this restaurant is on Long Island, but the Korean food EXCELLENT (better than lots of places in Flushing) and service is OUTSTANDING. Every dish we’ve tried so far (짜장면, 순두부찌개, 육개장, 제육덮밥) has been so amazing, delicious, and authentic (especially the spices!!!). If you’re ever in the area, please stop in and eat here. “Ordered takeout from Don Chicken on Northern Blvd and went for the Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken and it did not disappoint. The pieces were pretty big, juicy inside, and had that trademark Korean fried chicken crunch: thin, shatter-crispy, never greasy. The soy garlic glaze was spot on savory, garlicky, with just enough kick to keep me reaching for another bite.

I also tried the Sweet & Spicy flavor not bad at all, just leaned sweeter than what I usually like.

What I really appreciate is how Korean fried chicken is different from the fried chicken most of us grew up with. Instead of a thick, heavy batter, it’s double-fried a method that actually came about in Korea in the 1960s and 70s when fried chicken started getting popular alongside beer (“chimaek,” short for chicken + maekju/beer, is now a whole culture). That double fry gives you the crunch without the grease, and the sauces like this soy garlic add layered flavor instead of just salt and breading.

For takeout, it traveled well too the chicken stayed crisp even by the time I got home, which tells you they’re doing it right. Generous portions, bold flavor, and that authentic K-fried crispness make the spicy soy garlic the clear winner for me.“

“We ordered assorted gyros, souvlaki, tacos and baklava. The staff was friendly and the service was wonderful. Over all decent and accommodating to the greek culture with a twist of spanish. Only thing I would change is to add oragano salt and pepper to the gyros and don't blend the tzatziki makes it a bit pasty in texture but flavor was 7/10. The baklava less refrigerated time and more syrup not leaving the tops so dry. Would visit again.“

“Went here on Thursday night with five of my friends for a belated birthday celebration. The staff was very kind to us and answered all of the questions we had. The meat quality is very good and delicious for the price! And their drink menu has good variety.
I wish I took photos, but I was so hungry that I just kind of focused on eating.
One of my friends said that he wished that the salad bar would have more variety, but I was personally fine with the size of the salad bar because I was there mostly for the steaks. And the grilled pineapple with cinnamon was a good palate cleanser between servings too.“

“i tried the mango milk and my gf had matcha milk. we also got nuggets, mozzi sticks, fries and i think my gf got a eel onigiri. i cant speak for the onigiri cause i didnt try it but all of the food was hot and crispy and honestly the nuggets gave better mcd nuggets. and it was all pretty affordable. we got all that for under 35$ if i remember correctly. the drinks were sweet and creamy but a good price for the size.“

I remember there used to be a Papa’s chicken in Midwood years ago and so I decided to try this.

The man who took my order was very fast. Very efficient.

I ordered the Combo 1 with the Spicy chicken sandwich, spicy wings and french fries along with a water. Total cost was 13:05 paid with credit.

I ate the spicy chicken sandwich there and it was so GOOD. And very fulfilling. Couldn’t even eat the wings and fries. Later had them and wings were good. Fries were ok.

There’s 3-4 tables and they had the ac on which was nice. It was a hot day. Too hot. As I was eating started feeling hot again.

I sat down after giving the order and saw that the tables could use a clean. Floor needed a clean too.

There was a Mexican station / restaurant inside this restaurant as well.

Also - no bathroom. Not cool for me but food was good.

Overall I would come again.

Comes with Spicy or Soy Garlic, Juicy Drumsticks or wings and with some tangy sour pickled radish or sweet creamy kimchi cole slaw. You are missing out if you have not tried this!!! You want some?! Usually I would get this when I worked the Financial District or Midtown Manhattan but this was the closest to home and they did not let me down!! Like most Korean Fried Chicken Places in Flushing or K-Town Manhattan... you can see Asian families/ laughing and eating wings with a whole pile of delicious wings dumped in the middle of the table!
