Sweet Sue's Country Diner is a hidden gem worth the drive off the highway. The food is always excellent, with hot, freshly cooked meals that are big in portion size. The atmosphere is that of a classic American diner, where you can either eat quickly or take your time to enjoy the experience. The Belgian Waffle is perfectly cooked with just the right amount of strawberry topping, while the home fries are crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The Garbage Plate comes highly recommended, with a breakfast version that includes excellent home fries, sausage, three eggs, and sausage gravy. The pancakes are as big as a platter. The small family diner has a cozy feel with only a few tables and counter stools, allowing you to watch the open cooktop in action. The gravel parking lot is convenient for truck drivers, making it a great lunch spot. The friendly staff, despite being small in number, provide great service and recommendations. If you're looking for the best diner food around, Sweet Sue's Country Diner is the place to go.
