“Just got back from a thoroughly enjoyable meal at Shaw-naé’s House on Van Duzer. The sangria was plentiful, the food was fresh, hot and tasty, the wait staff attentive, and the ambience was perfecto (my wife sang to ALL the songs!). Too full for dessert, but I was eyeing that peach cobbler! Next time!“

“This is the best restaurant in St. George. I always enjoy eating here. I've brought several non-Staten Island, friends here who agree. They have a wonderful price fixed dinner during the week. We had mussels, a Caesar salad, filet mignon, and steak frites. Everything was delicious! The service is good and the restaurant is lovely.“

“We ate at the Point Tavern this past Saturday night after reading other reviews. We were seated promptly. Ordered two appetizers; hush puppies & street corn shrimp. The bang bang sauce was very tasty on everything. I loved that they were served on cast iron pans (nice touch). Then came out roast beef sandwiches, one with a pretzel bun, other the ciabatta. OMG. The best, savory, melt in your mouth flavor bomb roast beef we have ever had. We will definitely be going back!!!“

“Visited a restaurant for the birthday party in May 2022. Clean, welcomed staff, good service, a lot of parking on the street. We placed an order. It was not too long, which is good because the reservation was for 6:30 pm and everybody was hungry. Appetizers were delicious especially both types of calmers. 3 people ordered NYS trip stakes. OMG! All 3 stakes were stingy. Nobody finished the stake. Medium and well done came up the same. Black color even tongue was black after eating the steak. It's because when cooked the steak did not clean the grail. Also, I recommend checking your receipt. We found 3 items that we did not get on the table for a total of almost $80. One of them we never ordered, and two newer ones were delivered to the table.“

From the moment we booked our date to the last minute when we left the service was impeccable.

I ordered pick up and the food was hot and fresh upon picking up. we ordered the garlic knot Sicilian, my kids loved it and it in general the pizza was good . we ordered the boneless wings also were good. the pork ribs amazing just wish they had dry rub options. spinach and artichoke dip, cheese needed to melt but flavor was good and large portion. potato croquettes were also delish and come with sauce . the staten island chicken panini and twisted were also delish! beef empanadas a lil soggy but more from transport but flavor was good . (maybe dff type of container or poke holes in future ) we also had a frozen sangria that I wished after we had ordered more.. will def order again!“

“I have been to Paradise Island once at the recommendation of an amazing beautiful woman that I don’t even know (jewelzbyDesiree) Upon arriving I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable, not like I wasn’t feeling judged like some other restaurants make you feel. I ordered pasta with sausage and broccolirabe and my bestie had some chicken dish that she is still raving about. The food and service are bar none to any other restaurant in Staten Island. The waitress made us feel like family but it was never like she was intrusive when she did come to check on us. The price was more affordable than expected as I alone know I had at least 3 martinis. I can not recommend this place more. This is coming to you from a 💯 Staten Island girl and food snob.“

I had the house salad followed by a medium rare ribeye, my daughter had the Caesar salad, and a medium rare NY Strip my husband had the steak tips volcano (not sure that is the correct name) All of it was perfectly prepared. We Finished dinner with a to die for pecan pie and crème brûlée. Both the food and service were exceptional.“

“This market has changed many names and I presume management over the years but it remains a great place to do quick shopping or grab quality Italians specialities on your way between getting off the bridge and visiting family (which is primarily why I shop there!) Really great prepared foods, hot bar and baked goods.“

Anyone who says they are rude and they waited 45 minutes for food, obviously has never been to a local establishment where everything is cooked to order. It’s not McDonald’s. I literally eat here between 4 and 6 times a week. Sometimes alone, sometimes with my family. I know everyone by name and they know mine. They even sit and have conversations with me if it’s not busy! This place is a true gem, which is why you might wait to sit on a weekend or at dinner time. There is nowhere better. Just the atmosphere makes me not want to leave every time I’m there. And again, George, the owner, and his staff are the most dedicated, friendly, and loyal people around!“

“I am a fan of Farm to Bagel...I have Celiac and the GF options are amazing! However, in my last 2 visits, including today, they made my food on the gluten grill. I had to point it out to them to remake it. Which they did, no problem...but what if someone who didn't know ate the food? I sent my sister from Boston there, she'd have no idea! That'd be a fine ride back home! Please, Farm to Bagel, do a better.job educating the staff!!! We GF-ers depend on you!“
