“My wife and I threw our daughter’s first birthday party at Farington’s today and we were so impressed. We have been many times before and the food is always delicious. We had around 40 guests, (perfect number of guests for the space), and Farington and his staff knocked it out of the park. “I've eaten at Drew's a few times, and they have leveled UP with their new location. The food is absolutely incredible, the restaurant is beautiful and welcoming with a really cool open kitchen and chef's table, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my party had a great night. And I have to add to the chorus - the Voodoo Shrimp really IS that good! Everyone who orders the pork chop special always loves it, I love the crawfish étouffée, and the escargot was very good too. “The hubby and I tried Tommy’s in Carteret this afternoon. Homemade chili, no beans. Nice, smooth bit of heat. It was good. I believe they are using a Sabrett hot dog. The onion rings were EXCELLENT! Everything was fresh and very tasty. This family has been selling hot dogs in the Carteret and Rahway area since the very early 1960’s. Jimmy who is the son of the original owner, Tommy was very friendly. He couldn’t have been happier to explain his menu offerings to us, and partake in some friendly conversation. Four hot dogs with two toppings on each, an order of onion rings, and a Diet Coke was $19. There are a couple of outdoor tables to sit at, or a no frills trailer to sit in. It’s not a fancy place, but we weren’t there for fancy. We were there for some good dawgs, and we got them. We will definitely be back for more, and to try the freshly made burgers and cheesesteaks.?“
