My first time at this bakery - Bought some cannolis and they were not good. The shell had no flavor and the cannoli cream flavor and texture was not good. Not creamy and the flavor was not sweet. I will not be returning. There are many other bakeries on SI to visit. The girl at the counter was very nice, very friendly. The product just wasnât good compared to other Italian bakeries.

I had a wonderful experience with Buono Bakery. I ordered a custom cake for my daughterâs sweet 16, and Frank did an outstanding job bringing it to life. The cake look amazing exactly what I wanted! You can tell a lot of care and attention to detail went into it. Everyone at the event loved it and asked where it was from. The staff was friendly and easy to work with throughout the process. First time there and went specifically to get St. Josephâs Zeppole. Iâm Italian and I usually make my own so I will give my review based on that. They are just ok. Shell had no flavor needed some salt and a bit of sugar. They put tons of pastry cream which is not too sweet. Pastry cream tasted very commercial meaning I didnât taste any vanilla or hint of lemon. Overall Really needs more flavor. The ones with the cannoli cream are a bit better. Would I buy them again no.

Would've been 5 stars except for one thing. We got the apple crumb cake and a variety of the mini pastries. Crumb cake had just the right amount of apple in it and not too sweet. Napoleons were fresh and delicious. Everything was fantastic. Super reasonable prices. HOWEVER, when we were in the bakery, there were a few tiny flying gnats around and even one inside the case. Not what we usually want to see in any food place. I know this probably disgusts some people but it's gnats vs flies and we could tell it was freshly baked so we decided it was safe. (loads of people ate and no one got sick).
