I've been to a few Carvel's on Staten Island, and this is my favorite. The soft-serve ice cream isn't too soft. In some other locations, it's melting off the cone before you walk out the door, rushing you to eat it. Portions are fair (again, others are cheap!). The staff are really nice and welcoming. They have good specials.

Carvel serves awesome ice cream, including soft serve pistachio and strawberry shortcake dasher. Their weekly BOGO deal on soft serve ice cream on Wednesdays is a hit with customers. While crunchies are a bit pricey, the staff is friendly and the overall experience is great, making it a favorite spot for many.
