Wow ! Was invited to a party in the wine room at Franina. The food was exceptional. Service was top-notch. This is an old-school italian restaurant that definitely knows what they are doing. We started with a delcious plate of fresh Mozzarella and Melon and prosciutto, then we had rigatoni wirh sauce. The pasta dish was so simple but yet so delicious. This is my 2nd time at Franina and this is one of the best Italian restaurants on Long Island or anywhere for that matter. Food is not only good but memorable. The linguini was perfectly cooked. I also had the rabbit and venison special which was both great. Venison is tough to cook but they made it taste like good steak. Rabbit was falling off the bone. My son has another pasta that was amazing. We were also impressed with the very professional service. This one is a gem.
