“Im in the service and happened to stop into this place. Its only a matter of time before this hidden gem gets nationally recognized so get in there while you can! From the friendly atmosphere, to such a huge menu and even a nice punch drink that has a good kick too it.My group had a large and complicated order I expected there to be at least a mistaie but the food was well prepared, fast and delicious! I especially recommend the chicken kabobs and the sliders. But the big selling point is the hospitality. Just a cool crew to hang out with while the foods being prepped. Delicious!“
“My family loves Chimichurri! The quality of the food is excellent and the value is terrific. This would be true if it wasn't kosher but we keep kosher and getting this quality and value with kosher is phenomenal! Our favorites are the steak, fried and grilled wings!Dietary restrictions: Kosher“
“Stopped in for the first time and the service was very courteous and friendly. Sandwiches were made perfect to order and I must say the french fries were very good. A nice pickle and slaw on the side. Our server was very sweet and checked up on us a few times. Very affordable prices and pretty big portion. Overall a very good experience“
“Pretty decent location and a good Gyro platter. I went there because I was waiting for my appointment at the barbershop and I’m glad that I drop by. I was hungry and I chose the Gyro platter which is normally my favorite. They did a decent job give me a salad with it, which I think was part of the lunch special service was good and the food was deliciousVegetarian options: YesDietary restrictions: No gluten-freeParking: YesKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“This location has a special place in my heart. 1988, I just came back from being stationed overseas and my girl friend (now my wife) says lets have Falafel for lunch. What's Falafel? Back then, the restaurant was called The Promised Land and it was the first time I took a bite of Falafel. Now, I was hooked! Strange that I never had nor heard of Falafel growing up in Brooklyn. Working in NYC was when I saw the different Falafel styles and was introduced to Einat Admonys version at Taim. I was a total fan of her Falafel. And to me, she gets points because she served in the IDF as well as being in Season 3 of Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions? Shabbat Shalom sister with a fist bump. Which takes me to 2024, Taim Mediterranean Kitchen in Plainview. Walking in just floods me with so many memories. The counterperson says if I join the Taim rewards I can save on my first order so download the app. 1988 doesn't have anything on 2024! Once I downloaded the app, I ordered something simple, The O.G. Falafel Pita made with Harissa (for a little kick) I sit down to a nice, clean location. Brightly colored tables and a jug with some delicious looking lemonade. (Too sugary for me in 2024) My meal is ready. I like the fact that there is both Hummus and Tahini sauce inside the pita. It was a nice sandwich, the pita texture to me was a little off. It was too thick compared to what I'm used to at other falafel joints. Just for a moment, I had lunch back in time. Them I checked my app for the meal credit, I jumped in my Electric Car and headed home. Chicken Shawarma is calling me, I'll be back. (80s reference)“
“Amazing pizza made with soul!!!!! Always kind service and nice meal specials important at now days;))) Being fan of this place for the last 6 years. Clean facility and fresh ingredients. Everyone can find food for any taste. Eating from this Restaurant few times every month!!!! Thank “
“We ate in the pub part for Wednesday ight blues jam. I tried the all you can eat mussels. Not very good. Some mussels were old and shriveled, others were large and undercooked. Would't get again. My husband had the fish and chips. Chips were good, but the fish was just okay. Bartender was very nice. Nice selection of beers. Ran into a friend who said he'd just eaten the lamb special and it was great.“
“We ordered a decent size catering order for my daughter’s first birthday and the food was excellent! Penne allá vodka, chicken parm and my favorite the chicken francese all came out so delicious. Everyone at the party was raving about the food.“
“Pretty solid quality food and prepped just the way I like. Chicken is well seasoned but not over done, lamb is cut into fine pieces. Pita was nice and fresh. There are more options than the standard chicken and rice.It was my first time here so I hope the quality is consistent unlike most halal carts I frequent.“
“I have been coming here for months now, and the food always hits. There are plenty of varieties to chose from and no matter which one it is, it always tastes great. The only complaint I have through, is that the service is quite slow, and usually this isn't a problem, but at times it can be quite bothersome if I'm in a rush and it's taking too long. Otherwise, this place is great! The staff are very nice and the atmosphere is quite nostalgicParking: So many spaces.“
“I was in the area at lunchtime recently and decided to stop in to eat. I sat at the counter and took in all the retro vibes in the place. It actually reminded me of Krisch's in Massapequa, where I grew up. I was immediately handed a menu and quickly made the decision to have a burger & fries. It was ready in very good time. The fries were actually chips. It had been a long time since I had fries served that way. It was a large order too, hot and delicious. The burger was terrific too. It actually had a very similar taste to the Krisch's burgers I had so many times as a child. Everything was fine here. The food, service and ambiance were all top notch. The prices were a little better than what you'd expect to pay in 2024 too. I'll be back.“
“Eagle's Nest is an absolute gem! I was back home on Long Island for 2 days and was so lucky to attend an amazing Yelp event in Hicksville hosted by our stellar CM Jared at Kathi & Kabab. I wanted a smoothie but not just any gym juice bar wait for 25 minutes smoothie. Well, I can vouch after my 2 visits in 18 hours that the Eagle's Nest is the Best! I got the Chunky Monkey beaut on a Wednesday evening and the PB Chocolate( Reese's PB Cup OMG) when Mike the owner opened at 11 am on Thursday. I tasted the difference right away as my eyes got really big- quality ingredients, generous portions, really well blended, love the classy peanut butter streak along the length and breadth of the big cup, the taste - wow! So many great choices. Mike took his time making my sensational smoothie. The owner Mike is a lovable and fun person. He is a trained chef who ran a kitchen at a bowling alley in Brooklyn before opening this establishment 3 years ago. He is loads of fun to talk to! He wears all these gold chains and bracelets which add to his great personality and the fun menu. I made a friend as I enjoyed my drink. Carol , a regular came in while doing laundry next door and got the honey mustard turkey wrap. She was raving about it so I got one too. Love Love Love!!! You have to go to Eagle's Nest! It is just north of the Bethpage RR station in the King Kullen shopping center. 12 minutes from Hicksville, 14 minutes from Copiague and 20 minutes south of Old Brookville. Open 7 days 11-7 M to Sat and 11-3 on Sundays. Loads of parking. I can't wait to go back, hang out with the fun Mike and experience some more of his amazing delicacies and delicious and wholesome smoothies.“
“I’ve been to this place before. It’s behind the 7-Eleven, which is on Park Avenue in Huntington Station. The food is so fresh, and delicious. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and they asked me all the right questions. I will definitely be back over and over againwhen I’m nearby. And the price is very reasonable. A medium coffee, toasted bagel stuffed with delicious chicken salad came to $11.15 including tax.“
“Gyro Station of Glen Head is seriously the best little spot in the neighborhood. I can't get enough of their outdoor seating; it just adds a cozy vibe to the whole experience. And let me tell you, their chicken souvlaki is a game-changer. They go against the norm and use chicken thigh instead of boring old breast, and oh boy, it makes all the difference. The chicken is so dang juicy and tender, it practically melts in your mouth.Whenever I'm hosting a party, I always turn to their catering menu. Trust me, my guests are blown away by the food. The flavors, the presentation, everything is on point. It's like having a five-star restaurant right in my backyard. But you know what really sets Gyro Station apart? The owner, Vasili. That guy is a gem. He's always there, working his tail off, and he genuinely cares about his customers. He'll chat you up, make you feel welcome, and you can just tell he pours his heart and soul into this place. Supporting Gyro Station feels like supporting a friend, and that's why I keep coming back.If you haven't been to Gyro Station of Glen Head yet, you're seriously missing out. Treat yourself and go grab a seat outside. You won't be disappointed.“
“I work around the corner and just had my first bacon egg and cheese from this spot. One word, DELICIOUS!! I ordered it scrambled and it was perfect. Staff was friendly and attentive. Your presence won’t be ignored like some other delis. Will be back for more!“
