“I’ve tried a LOT of different places around Syracuse in look for good Crab Ragoons & Lo Main and this place is definitely the best. Generous in portions, good amount of veggies in the lo main and the Rangoons aren’t mostly bread/crust!! Highly recommend!!“

“Ordered the sesame chicken with pork fried rice and a fried shrimp egg roll. Service was simple and quick, took about 8 minutes. The food is above average for a Chinese takeout place. You can tell there is a degree of freshness in everything. The sesame chicken was fried perfect with a light crunch but not overpowering in sauce. The chicken itself was juicy and felt like it wasn’t frozen. The sauce also was different than usual, but in a good savory way. The rice by far was my favorite, it wasn’t greasy and had good chunks of pork and egg. It’s not yellow like other places, which I think is a good thing. The shrimp egg roll was the only letdown as I felt it was a bit too greasy but definitely not bad. I travel for work and am from NYC — take my review for what it is.“

“Food was delicious. The mapo tofu was delicious and left a numbing sensation in my mouth that I’ve never felt with any other dish containing Szechuan peppercorns. The scallion pancake was delicious as well. The wontons were good, just not the flavor we were expecting. Highly recommend this place!“

The workers are always very friendly. I’m grateful this place exists! It is one of my top three local Chinese spots! “Unlike other Chinese food restaurants, China House has a website. I love being able to see what I order and how much I am going to pay for it. The food was ready when my confirmation text told me it would be and loved that I was able to pay online. Upon pick up, I was greeted with a friendly smile from the cashier. And the food is like no other...FRESH! Not only was everything delicious, everything tasted fresh and freshly cooked with servings big enough for leftovers. “First time having food from this restaurant. As a person that doesn't eat meat it had some good options. I had the garlic mushrooms over rice with vegetable spring rolls. The spring rolls were very soggy so I only took one bite. But the rest of the food was pretty good.“

“Having been to the Lavish Mediterranean restaurant more than a few times now, I must say that I have enjoyed every meal that I have had out of the wide variety of fine quality of delicious dishes on their menu and the generous portions that they serve. Besides the delicious food, the polite and caring staff, the clean and well-lit environment, and the comfortable seating are an added plus. “Just moved to the area and was told this was the best take-out. Compared to other Chinese places, the price was a better value and it tasted fresher. I think I will make this part of my Friday night post-workout ritual. The Sweet and Sour chicken with a side of fries and wings for twenty bucks lasts like two meals, I can bring the extra to work. Very good place. Take-out only.“

“I have been ordering from China Cafe for years!! This is easily my favorite place to go to for a quick and delicious meal. They are very family orient (most times you will see the kids at one of the tables or the family enjoying a meal together). This place is busy, but you would never notice. The deliveries are very quick.“

Boneless ribs...There's something really special in that sauce. Cashew chicken was absolutely delicious but had mostly peanuts with a few cashews for garnish. Possibly the best lo mein and fried rice in Syracuse. The fried chicken wings are second to the tastiest I've ever had. I got to know what that flavoring is that they marinate them in. “This is one of the cleanest Chinese restaurants I have ever been to I mean it's very dated inside but all of the counters are clean all of the grills and pans look clean. There isn't food splattered all over and there food is very good. Only Chinese place in town that hasn't given me an upset stomach.“

“Highly recommend the barbecue beef skewer—absolutely delicious! Everything we ordered was great overall. The only downside was the sautéed cabbage, which was very salty. It seemed like it may have been an accident because the flavor itself was actually really good. “This place needs higher reviews. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. The fried rice was delicious and loaded with pork and onions. Best combination plate I’ve had in a very long time. “Orders on Grubhub and my order came PIPING hot and they included rice and 2 fortune cookies as a little something extra. We’ve ordered their catering before and it was just as delicious. It’s a decent price for that amount of food ($35 for 4 meals worth of sesame chicken and lo mein). They PACKED my lo mein into the container but for $10, I wish there was just a bit more.

Never stepped foot in here so I can’t speak to the atmosphere, but:

Not that the American Chinese food was bad either, they clearly put effort into all their cooking. It made me sad to see the restaurant so empty!“
