8 Best Vietnamese Restaurants near Syracuse

“My husband and I love pho and try to get it whenever we can since we don’t have many options locally. We ordered the steak and brisket pho, which was delicious. They don’t make their own house sauce, but the sriracha was the perfect addition for a little extra spice.

I did have to request a fork since I’m not quite skilled enough with chopsticks for noodles yet, but they were very quick to bring one over. The staff was incredibly sweet and service was fast as well!

We’ll definitely return next time we’re in town!“

“Update (Spring 2026):
I’ve now been to Vietnam and Ky Duyen is on par with some of the best I had there and is even better than some of them. They continue to be my favorite Banh Mi in the area.
Their iced coffee leaves something to be desired for my taste though unfortunately. A big part of this is my preference for white coffee (bạc xỉu) and the salted cream coffee (cà phê muối). My favorite combo is to buy a banh mi and drive down the road to the newly opened Wake Up for their salted cream coffee.

Update (11/7/2023):
Finally got to come back as I had the day off from work and could make it up before they sold out. Banh Mi is still great, though I found that I very much did not enjoy the cold cut option. I’ve now had 3 (BBQ Pork), 1 (Roasted Pork), and 2 (Cold Cut) and would recommend them in that order. BBQ pork was amazing, roasted pork was great, and cold cut had me questioning if I wanted to finish it. Not bad or gross, just completely not my taste/preference. I fully plan on being back in the future to try number 4 (shredded pork) so I can figure out which one is truly my favorite and future go to.

I ordered the meal deal for 2 with 15 wings (2) different flavors with fried rice, crab ragoons, French fries, and a veggie cup included in the meal along with a California fresh roll.
