Demeter’s Tavern & Sports Bar

This is absolutely one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever encountered in my life. The bartender was a sweetheart. We got the overstuffed roast beef sandwich which we split. Thank goodness because it was so good and plenty with waffle fries. I wish I took a picture but we ate it too fast and the au jus was right on the money. Exactly the way it should be. We will be back even though we live in Rockland County

This place has clearly been around for 75+ years for a reason! Amazing food and plenty of room/screens to watch sports. They use high quality ingredients and even had Abita root beer. Family friendly too 😁

What a great place to have a good lunch in a comfortable atmosphere with good people. Portions are large so it’s like 2 meals for me. A quick shoutout to the awesome managers (Steve & Don) and to the wonderful bartenders (Trisha & Jeff). The entire staff has made me feel comfortable and welcomed! Thanks guys!

Nice little place in tarrytown.
Nice bar/restaurant. Parking was a little tight and the place was packed so seating was a little tight also.
The food was on point and it was an enjoyable experience.

Night of 12/21 Food closed early, Bartender lady was rude and aggressively fake. She spilled half my over priced shot of whiskey on the counter and didnt say sorry or repour, couldn’t wait for me to finish my beer to make me payout (still tipped I dont know why) Wasn’t anywhere near closing. Overall terrible. Get better bartenders they are out here.

Called in advance for a table for football Sunday. Got sat before it was busy which was nice. Felt like a family owned place where the owners really cared which we loved. Service was Ok, it’s not a huge place and multiple times during game we had empty glasses for 10-15 minutes. Prices are aggressive even for the area. Food was solid, huge portions but mostly felt like packaged goods. They ran out of three draft beers by halftime which was odd. Overall a nice place to watch football and we appreciated the hospitality.

It’s a good location for a drink and bite to eat. The service was really great and friendly. The place looks to be popular with locals. They have good drinks selections. The food was ok and its general bar type food. Overall decent.

Visiting from out of state. We were exhausted after traveling and our hotel offered little options. We saw this place and decided to give it a go. Let me tell you that it was by far the BEST roast beef sandwich I have ever had. The french onion soup was devine. The atmosphere was booming with locals who were there to cheer on their Yankees. Such a wonderful experience, will most likely stop in again before leaving town.

New items on the menu. Food is always fresh. Never ever had a bad meal there. Pizza is thin and crispy, roast beef is to die for. Everything is delicious. TVs surround the entire bar area and dining area. Open floor atmosphere. The perfect place for family and friends to go and hangout. Complete staff is polite and extremely friendly. Family owned and operated for decades
