*ALLERGY ALERT!*

Normally, I never cared for the vegan options or labeling as a whole, but recently we found out our 10 month old baby has a dairy and egg allergy. We read the dessert menu, asked about the vegan ice cream option and order their vegan strawberry ice cream. Our baby devoured it! Wanted more, but she immediately started breaking out into hives. We left our party at the table and rushed over to the Walgreens near by and bought allergy medicine. Don’t worry our baby is okay.

However! This means, either their vegan choice is in fact not vegan, or whoever is making the dessert scooped regular dairy ice cream first and then the vegan choice. Either way, BE WARNED!

I’m not from the area, and went out of my way after reading a long piece about the owner in The Atlantic four years ago. He seems to be an incredible guy, and certainly his restaurant is fantastic!

What a delightful experience we had with RiverMarket Bar and Kitchen. My husband and I hosted a Welcome Party for our son and daughter in laws wedding. I can’t say enough about the staff, accommodating in every way. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The food was exceptional with something for everyone. ( outstanding pizza!) We all enjoyed several appetizers and a buffet that provided an array of dishes for everyone’s palate. Our guests enjoyed some specialty cocktails that they are still talking about.
Our family and friends experienced a memorable evening.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. I ordered the NY strip steak with garlic herb butter and garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was very juicy and cooked perfectly and the garlic herb butter was the perfect touch. The mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned and the pumpkin cheesecake was delicious! It was a little pricey but definitely worth it for a once in a while treat!

I love this place! Every time I go to NY I take the opportunity to go and order two dishes from the menu The Rhodes island mussels and the salade de Confit de Canard.

The atmosphere is very pleasant, the attention of the staff with a cordial greeting, good music, an ideal terrace to enjoy ahhh and at the end an espresso with bread pudding.. 🌟please keep giving your best!!

I met my cousins here as a half-way point from New Jersey. The place was great! Service was prompt and food was excellent. I had the huervas rancheros eggs and they were fabulous! Great restaurant location after a stroll on the Hudson Riverwalk.

Really nice spot right along the river walk. Dog friendly, they even brought out a little water bowl for our pup. Really clean outdoor space. Food was excellent, a little small on portion size. Service was great, everyone was really friendly and service was quick. We had even left behind a cell phone and they had it right at the front when we came back for it. Thank you!!

Margarita pizza was really good! Delivered to my table piping hot and crispy. The mocktail of the month was refreshing & delicious with a hint of lavender. Our server was attentive and kind. Nice and cozy atmosphere!

We had a reservation for 10 yesterday to celebrate my sister’s birthday. It was our first time at the restaurant, and we were looking forward to enjoying the atmosphere by the river. I brought in a small cake, something I’ve done at many other restaurants without issue, especially when the bill is expected to be over $500.

Instead, I was interrogated by a waitress (silver hair pulled back in a ponytail) who informed me there would be a $7 per plate fee just to serve the cake. I explained that I would be cutting and serving it myself, and politely asked if an exception could be made this time. She reluctantly agreed but made it very clear that “next time” it would not be allowed. The tone and attitude made me feel unwelcome and embarrassed in front of my guests. I explained it was our first time at the restaurant to her and she should not have had this tone with me.

Well, there will not be a next time. They charge an extra 3% for credit card payments also which is unusual for a restaurant. These other good reviews I don't believe. Between the uncalled-for treatment and food that was mediocre at best for the prices they charge, I will not be returning.

I've been here a few times and have only ever eaten outside, so I can't say much about their indoor space. They have a large outdoor dining area that's spacious and pleasant enough. It's about a 100 yards from the river so you're by no means on the river. The food is very good. The service is attentive and friendly but the prices are simply too high. My daughter's kids meal was $16 for a hotdog and french fries and the pork belly entree was $38. I was shocked by the $$ they were asking. The only main dishes less than $30 were the burgers.
