$38.00 for a soggy, stale lobster roll. No thanks...

We’ve been back over and over again and we always have a great experience with the Food, Adult drinks and Views! We come from Connecticut so we are usually coming for dinner or special occasions. My order is simple…. Wings, Burger and a selection from their great beers. This time around it was the GRIMM IPA 🍺. My wife always goes with the Fish Tacos and loves their cocktails, she went with a Paloma this time around. Sailhouse is in “The Rotation” of restaurants for us, especially on a sunny summer day or anytime we want waterfront dining.

We had a wonderful experience at The Sailhouse last night. A group of 10 of us went after my daughter’s recital and to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The setting was awesome and our waitress was lovely and super accommodating. We had one minor situation with our food but she handled it like a true professional and ended up making us like her and our overall experience even more. My fish tacos and my husband’s steak tacos were the best we have had in a long time! Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Dear Owner—if you care about your business, please read this.

I came in truly wanting to love your restaurant. The view is beautiful, but everything else made me regret spending my money. The original drink I ordered wasn’t available—how does that happen so early in the day? That tells me your inventory isn’t being managed, and it made me wonder what else is being overlooked.

Our server was clearly not trained. She dropped a drink straw on the table without a napkin, then put it in the drink. That’s unsanitary. She never checked on us—only came over after we complained to someone else. Even then, she seemed lost and uncomfortable.

The food took far too long despite the restaurant being almost empty and staffed with people standing around. The pasta I ordered was $40 and completely flavorless. The chicken was not grilled, it was a dry, greasy cutlet—nowhere did the menu specify that. The sauce was bland, watery, and tasted like it came from a jar. The guacamole was browned on top. The grilled chicken dish was so tough it was difficult to cut it.

And the sangria? It came with ice, no fruit, and tasted like watered-down wine with flat soda. When I asked for fruit, I was brought a lemon, lime, and a maraschino cherry. That’s not sangria—it’s a shortcut.

What concerned me most was the lack of leadership. Young, confused staff walking around aimlessly, no quality control, no one managing the floor. It was uncomfortable. If things are this disorganized out front, I can only imagine what’s happening in the kitchen.

You have a great location—but that alone isn’t enough. I sincerely hope you step in and take control of your business before it loses any chance of being great.

Came for brunch and ordered avocado toast with eggs, bacon and home fries. The only food that was good was avocado! which they didn’t cook. . Kids chicken fingers were way too crispy. You will get disappointed if you look forward to eat fried food.

This spot has just gone downhill. All the renovations and changes do look great, but trying to make the boat club a fancier river restaurant while the waitresses are wearing tight shorts with their butts hanging out is just not appetizing or what you should see when you’re paying a $100+ meal.

Great night. Thankyou. Our server Ricky was awesome!

Great experience. Sat by the water. Waitstaff was fast and attentive. The food was tasty and came out soooo fast. I read some negative reviews about the lobster roll not coming out hot but it did. My mom and I shared that along with the smash burger. Both were exceptional. The jalapeño margarita was so good! Fries were hot and crispy. We couldn’t have asked for anything more!

4/24,, we had lunch @1pm and sadly to say we put in our order with Benedicto and waited about 45 mins but never received our order, I had to go ask the older bartender with dark hair if she can possibly check to see if our order was placed. Benedicto said he was busy. Everyone seemed to get their order except our table. Eventually, we left and went elsewhere. Service is just as important as the food you serve while I do try to give every situation the benefit of the doubt. a fly sticker is needed for the inside dining. It's such a lovely location, and it's a shame to have to update my unfortunate experience. Also, i have to mention Benjamin is on point and is a good waiter.
Please do better. As I stated in my comment, the food and view were amazing.

As part of our annual foliage trip from NYC to upstate, we chose this beautiful waterfront restaurant on a perfect fall day. We were seated by a window with an incredible view of the vibrant autumn colors and the Mario Cuomo Bridge spanning the Hudson River. The restaurant was busy, and unfortunately, we waited quite a while for our order, especially as nearby tables that arrived after us were served and nearly finished.
When we spoke to the manager, Shawn, he arrived promptly, listened attentively, and genuinely apologized, saying, “There is no excuse.” He quickly expedited our order and even offered us complimentary desserts, which we took to go since we were full. Despite the wait, the beautiful setting and attentive service turned what could have been a disappointing experience into a positive one. Thank you, Shawn!

The setting under the Mario Cuomo bridge, is spectacular. Breathtaking and with the warmer temps lately, affords one an extended season. Polite staff. No complaints….. except for tbe food. Ordered a taco bowl ( no taco involved) with absolutely inedible rice! It takes alot to screw up rice but somehow, they did. While I brought it up to 3 servers (in their defense, late in the meal), they all showed concern but the management made no effort to knock it off the bill, take a few dollars off, offer a drink, or even an apology.
With regret, I doubt I will return.

Stopped by last minute with my girlfriends after a long hike and the Witches festival.

We sat outside and had a gorgeous view of the river and the bridge. I ordered the pumpkin spice margarita and requested jalapeños in it. The waiter insisted I wouldn’t like it but had it made anyway. I’m happy to report it was indeed delicious and exactly what I needed.

The mussels and tuna appetizers were on point. I shared a burger with my friend and had a side of asparagus. Do not order the macaroni and cheese unless you want Kraft out of the box. Repeat after me, you don’t want mac n cheese here.

The desserts were scrumptious and the ambiance was amazing! We’ll be back.
