“First time I ever went there delicious we got three sandwiches so much meat delicious roast beef ham we got turkey lettuce tomato the roll was so fresh. I’m gonna go back again. I live right near the 2 1/2 years. I never went. I recommend it to you.“

“This place is right in town, Crestwood (although it has Tuckahoe address). It has great soup (chicken noodle), also hot food, sandwiches. The staff is friendly and service is quick. Take-out or eat-in. The seating is not fancy in any way. There is also a coffee self serve. And many different packaged pasta to take home. It's one of the few deli's left that make food that doesn't have NYC pricing.“

“Just moved into Tuckahoe, Ferris Mini Market is very close to my residence. They have lots of your needs for house, snacks, food items and a nice deli in the back with Boar's Head meat. I am glad this place is close to me. I will be a regular here. I got a cheese omlet and breakfast burrito...very tasty!“

“Asked for deli meats, lady pointed to the paper in front of the register “no food at this time”. Meats constitute as food but then she went on to walk away and mumble “I’m by myself I’m not making sandwiches.” No one said anything about sandwiches and we asked a question. Attitude for no reason. “So on the outside, this place is not so easy on the eyes. It looks like a halfway shut down makeshift deli. When you enter, there is a narrow pathway to the register but a very big sandwich making area with alot of choices and premium meats. I was super hesitant but with limited time decided to give it a chance, I ordered the godfather on a hero. It was the best sandwich I ever had! They even presented it in premium boars head paper with the boars head sticker! The prices were excellent! Give them a chance! You won't be disappointed!“

“Best deli sandwiches I've tried so far outside of NYC. That being said, there was a bit of a delay with my pickup since I used their actual website and not one of the delivery apps. Sounded like they had forgotten to check it, I imagine the apps get way more traffic. A bit annoying but they quickly made it on the spot and apologized.Anyways, we ordered a pastrami and Italian sandwich. The pastrami sandwich was 4.5/5, a good amount of meat, nice crispy edges, but maybe a hair too salty on some bites. Paired it with some home made spicy mayo and it brought it to 5/5. Definitely getting this again.The Italian was solid and provided loads of meat. We enjoyed it but personally would have liked a tad more oil and vinegar. We gave this a 4/5.Both sandwiches are so packed that they can easily be split up into 2 pieces (maybe even 3 depending on who's eating it). So great option for leftovers.Recommend coming here if you're in the neighborhood looking for a great sub.“

The salads (macaroni, potato, Cole slaw) that came along with the order were on point! For reference we had the Marco Polo, siciliano, pork sliders, and the mini sandwiches ( one full tray of vegetarian) EVERYONE came over to us to say how delicious everything was. “No shortage of delis/bodegas around. NFM has great hours and are really consistent in their offerings. Usually either getting a BEC or Chicken Salad wrap. Pricing vs quality is super fair. Place is always clean and staff is always friendly. ATM avail. Coffee is mid but more than acceptable“

“Hugo's Gourmet is a place like no other. They welcome you with respect and warmth. So many options to choose from their Menu, and if you don't see something, they will make it for you. What i like most is everything is made to order (yes there's a waiting time) but I prefer freshly made over something seating there for hours and being toss into a microwave. Also, the cooks are friendly and clean the kitchen on a daily basis (not to many businesses do that)They treat you like family and I will miss this place.“

Whether it be a chicken cutlet on a wedge or an Italian combo on a semolina roll, any sandwich here is good.
