My husband and I visited here for the first time today. Upon entering it looked fine but a bit outdated (especially the bathroom). We were greeted right away by our server. She was very nice but definitely seemed stressed (they are looking for help). My husband ordered the chefs special I believe it was (2 eggs, 2 pancakes, bacon and toast) and I ordered the country fried steak (2 eggs, homefries, a biscuit, country fried steak with sausage gravy). I thought my meal was very good...
Food was good, service was kind. One of those old school restaurants that hasn't updated anything or cleaned the vents in a decade. We don't, not recommend it, but wonder if there is better options on this highway exit. It's definitely a local hang out so its gotta be consistently good. The skillet was a huge portion, the french toast was ehh and only 1 piece. Prices were average.
Nothing better than a solid diner on a Sunday afternoon. This place was busy. Sign said to take a seat even if it's dirty, so we did.The wait staff was great keeping up with the crowd. They came over and cleaned took our order and breezed out. I ordered the Giambotte because I have never heard of this dish before. Big plate of chopped up potatoes sausage, onions, eggs and cheese.
