Food ok, service good. My concern was with how dirty the tables and menus were. Also, I had four people and they added gratuity and didn’t mention it. I’m a great tipper- but it does frustrate me.

We always go for the sushi. Always good and the rolls are huge (don't order more than one specialty roll). The configuration and presentation changes from time to time. The only complaint I have is that the rolls are very, very big (as in round). I would prefer two smaller rounds of the same thing.

Update. My ratings have slightly improved. We’ve been dining at Umi Japanese Steakhouse for many years over 10+. They have finally upgraded their old worn, rundown chairs. That’s a plus! The food was good and the chef was very entertaining. I was surprised to learn at the end when it was time to pay. The restaurant automatically included the gratuity on our checks. Our reservation was for a party of 4. I don’t believe I saw a sign posted stating gratuity is automatic regardless...
