Day 2 back in NY looking for the right pizza. Yesterday was disappointing. Today we went to Prince Umberto. Note:Last time we were at this place was about 20 years ago. My take on the pizza was that is was a step up from yesterday's. The crust is nice, thin and good. However, too much oil on the pizza. Needs less oil. Undercooked pizza with raw dough on the thicker square slices. Too much cheese resulting in a greasy slice. Why do pizza shops undercook their slice pies? Reheating is not going to help cook them any further. Not coming back.

Excellent local pizza/italian food . Take out or table service available . Casual vibe . The servers and bartenders are friendly and happy to offer suggestions . My favorite hero's are meatball parmigiana and potatoe , peppers and egg. My mom always made potatoe peppers and eggs , Umbertos tastes like home. Try it !
