“Stopped on my way back home to NYC and what a little gem of a diner. It was empty at 8pm which was good for me. We were greeted right away and very pleasantly unlike some places you go and the person seems like they dont even want to escort you to your seats.Server said sit anywhere you’d like.Gave us water right away and he was very attentive to any of our needs.Ordered a sunnyside burger with bacon and it was delicious along with waffle fries, if any complaint I can make but its more of a suggestion, cut the tomato slice way way thinner, this way the tomato doesnt overwhelm the burger. I found my tomato slice to be super thick and didnt eat it. Again, just a suggestion. Very happy with my burger.Wife ordered steak quesadillas and what we liked is that he gave her the option of placing the veggies inside the quesadilla or just outside with the salad. She loved her quesadilla.Overall impressed with everything, server was great, i am guessing the older man is the boss and he was great as well.Recommended.“
“I first visited the 84 diner back in the early 80ies. They were just great everything s diner could be. Including lobster fresh out of the tank.Well that was then. Changes had to be made. Competition stole a lot of business.Recently I went again and I was so surprised. I love their Salads, always have been better than redline.But now every thing is better. All the items on the menue is upgraded.I had the onion soup and the chef salad. Soup seemed home made and my he bowl was bigger the crusted bread was gooy with cheese. And you got a decent amount of soup.The salad was as always top notch.My wife's hamburger was really fresh and flavorful and the fries tasted better than they ever have.“
“My mother in law and I went to Beacon to celebrate our birthdays and chose the diner for our lunch. They have a wide selection of food on the menu. I had the farmers breakfast wrap and home fries. Mom had her eggs and lox. We didn't see it on the menu but asked the waitress if it was available and she said sure. We were very happy with the service, quality of the food and the prices.Wheelchair accessibility: It's a small diner with a ramp for a wheelchair, walker and stroller accessibility. I didn't walk around much through the interior as we were seated next to the entrance. I cannot verify the comfort level of spacing throughout the restaurant. The bathroom was accessible.“
“Just off a busy highway but ample parking and seats when I visited. The burger was good but the staff did seem to want to hurry people along, so it didn't feel very relaxed. That said, worth visiting if you're in need of a coffee break and something to eat.“

Have been to this diner a couple of times and it's conveniently located just off of highway 84. Will be going back and want to try their cheeseburger deluxe w onion rings.“
“I love this place so much. It takes patience sometimes because they get super busy since they're so amazing and well priced. They treat you like family even the first time you come in. The waitress whom I call "mama" is the absolute sweetest person alive. Definitely stop in if you're looking for a great meal on a budget.“
“Me and my kids and husband started coming here 3 months ago every Saturday for breakfast it’s been a family route since the food is great and the waiters as well but today an older gentleman was upfront when we arrived don’t know if he is the restaurant manager or the owner but he gave us a very nasty look as if we didn’t belong coming here made us all feel very uncomfortable he came off as a very unpleasant man we are paying costumers like everyone else and a family of 8 there was no need for his nasty looks I think it’s time for him to retire his costumer service comes off very racist.“

“This review is a year late. Last year I planned my best friends engagement party here after calling so many other restaurants and places. The owner was beyond accommodating and the price to rent the very spacious room was one of the best rates I could find locally. We only had a group of 25 for the party but this room was big enough for over 50 easily. The owner was very nice and worked with me trying to figure out the best menu. He was attentive and would come in the room frequently to check on if the food needed to be replenished and if we needed anything. I would recommend this for any small or medium size parties especially because of how easy and stress free the owner made it.
