It's a great option for late night & you have nothing at home for dinner. I love to order their samosas too, which aren't listed on the website, but if you order the falafel and then in comments say you want an order of samosas they'll honor the request. Always get the green sauce!
Food is always good and the workers are nice. The place is very clean and looks well organized. Just be aware that the owner takes the tips on the online orders. You think you're tipping the workers but they only receive them if it is a cash tip into the jar. I find that to be super scummy and makes me question the integrity of the owner and the quality of food that he buys if he is that cheap to steal the workers tips.

Mr Halal Watervliet is a great option for late night when there is nothing at home for dinner. The samosas are a favorite, and even though they are not listed on the website, ordering the falafel and requesting an order of samosas in the comments will get the request honored. The green sauce is a must. Food is always good and the workers are nice. The chicken over rice is amazing and as good as if not better than the carts in New York City. Even the rice is seasoned through, very tasty and super fresh, and the spicy sauce is a kick. Service is very quick and people are nice too. The gyro over rice platter is absolutely delicious, with fresh food, amazing white sauce and hot sauce, and every bite full of flavor. It truly feels like authentic New York City halal food right in Albany. The lamb over rice is recommended, and the chicken over rice needs all of the sauces on it for the same experience as the lamb over rice. This is a great place for a rest stop just off the Empire State Trail, with great and quality food, great service, kind employees, and a calm place to rest. Pickup uber orders are ready within 10 minutes and hot when arriving, and prices are a bit better in person than on DoorDash or uber.
