Small town diner delivering comfort eats and warm smiles. Nothing elevated, but sometimes a cozy diner is the perfect refuge for the barbs of the world, and The Modern Diner fills that role nicely.
It has the feel of a hole in the wall old school diner. The food was good. My older brother was with me and ordered the ham & leek soup.It was made with wild leeks and had nice bite sized chunks if ham. I tried some and it was awesome.We both got the classic diner sandwich the Patty melt sandwich .If you ever find yourself nearby stop in for a good meal.

I have missed diners so much since leaving NJ, but oh my goodness. I absolutely enjoyed myself here. The kind and helpful waitress made the visit well worth it. Very clean and food was tasty. I'd advise anyone visiting this area, stop in and have a BLT with a side of fries.
