“I have passed by this quaint restaurant once a week for several years, and finally decided to stop for lunch today. It's history as a home or former business is perfect for it's new venue. I give the two young women who run this place a 5 star rating for friendliness, greeting new coustimers as old friends, and granting me a free cookie as a firsttimer! There is a good variety of homemade baked goods . . . I highly reccommend the BrickHouse Cafe in Brewerton ! You will be glad you dined there.”

“We had a small get-together at the house yesterday - just some good friends, live music, and a whole lot of great food. Huge thanks to Jake's Grub & Grog for catering the event. They made it super easy from start to finish. We picked a few things off their catering menu, told them how many people we had coming, and they helped us fine-tune everything. From there, they took over. The food came packed up in easy-to-transport boxes and tins, and it was amazing. Everyone had plenty, and we only had the slightest bit left over. If you’ve got an event coming up - big or small - I can’t recommend Jake’s enough. They crushed it.”

We have always enjoyed our time and encountered wonderful service from the staff. Recently we held an adult event here and had a fantastic experience. “Steve and I out for Breakfast, trying someplace new to us. Stumbled on Kim's Family Diner. Started out being Welcomed with Amazingly Friendly Customer Service Steve ordered the Philly Steak Omelet and they made me a Pepperoni, Bacon, Sausage & Broccoli with Swiss and Cheddar Chesse Omelet both were Amazing. Loved how ingredients were mixed into the eggs. Kim is so friendly and attentive as were all her employees, waitresses and buspeople. They were always cleaning up as soon as the customers left the table and the customers were friendly approached as soon as they walked into the restaurant. Very friendly and welcoming. Food was Great Definitely will be back”

“I got married on 9/13/2025 at 916 Riverside and it was one of the best wedding related decisions my husband and I made. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on site and it was absolutely beautiful from start to finish. The ceremony was held outdoors on their patio, and our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how visually stunning it was. We primarily communicated with Jake, the owner, and Brooke, one of the head staff. They were both incredibly helpful and responded immediately whenever we reached out. Anytime I suggested something or asked if it was possible to do X, Y, or Z - Jake accepted with open arms and supported all of our ideas to make our big day personable and meaningful. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, but doing so via Jake and Brooke made it as painless as possible, and that is something I am very grateful for. Staff paid attention to small details and ensured that everything got done in the way we envisioned and requested. At the end of our reception, Jake’s staff cleaned up quickly and packed all decorations and center pieces onto two designated tables, which made it that much easier for my husband and I to pick up and pack up everything the day after. Everything went smoothly from start to finish and there’s truly nothing I can critique. 916 Riverside will always be special to us, and I would recommend them in a heartbeat for any couples who are hunting for a venue.
