Small, quiet and really good wines. It was a very enjoyable afternoon with my wife and two dogs, yes they love dogs. Our favorite was the medium dry Riesling, so good bought a bottle to take back to campground.
Thorpe Vineyard was a lovely and unexpected find after a day hiking at Chimney Bluffs. Smart of them to have good signage in the area. We celebrated my mother's birthday in this cute, little wine room just off the lake with tastings, plus cheese and chocolate from local artisans. We tried the Dry Riesling, Reflection, the Medium Riesling and the Marechal Foch. The Dry Riesling was our favorite. The hostess was a lot of fun and full of info. Cute winery near Chimney Bluff state park. Don’t miss this small woman owned and run winery if you are in the area or feel like a pretty weekend ride. The owner takes pride in her offerings and has a selection including some semi sweet to drier varieties.
