“Bright and clean gas station/convenience store. I stop here often on road trips as it's a great place to get gas, use the bathroom, and get whatever drinks or snacks I need for the rest of the trip. Hot food is available (the cheese pizza is surprisingly good), as well as every cold drink you can think of. Grab and go foods like egg salad and deli meat sandwiches. There is a large hot drink station with coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate, and tons of creamers and ways to flavor your drink. On Fridays in October, they are offering one free coffee per customer. Yay!”

“Cute winery near Chimney Bluff state park. Don’t miss this small woman owned and run winery if you are in the area or feel like a pretty weekend ride. The owner takes pride in her offerings and has a selection including some semi sweet to drier varieties.”

“Ok so full disclosure, if I look a bit wiped out the family decided on a 3 mile hike through Chimney Bluffs State park. Woof I am tired. We stopped for lunch here at Pier Fifty-three for lunch. Is puppers are welcome outside on the deck overlooking Sodus Bay. Pretty much a self serve bar. Water bowls are by the front door ATM. Family had a seltzer and Yuengling and then Chicken Nachos and well done Plain wings. They seemed very happy with their choices. Pops was jammin to some Roll with the Changes (it was an embarrassing eyeroll from me). 4 paws from moi!”

“The chicken and mushrooms with lo mein is kickin.We recently ordered Chinese when we were in the city and it really made us appreciate how great our local Chinese place is. Food is awesome. Especially the lo mein and mei fun.Update:Today, we ordered the fried scallops and they were great.House special soup was jam packed with meat and veggies and delicious.The shrimp with Chinese vegetables have a TON of huge shrimp and is delicious.I'm always so happy with the food.”

“We stopped at Big Bo's for a ice cream cone after spending a nice day at the beach at Fairhaven State Park. Big Bos features Perry Ice cream. A small cone came with two large scoops. I highly reccomed the choclate mint. Creamy and delicious. Big Bo's offers picnic tables with shaded trees for your pleasure. Service was fast and friendly plenty of parking”

“We had kind of a large party show up for lunch. The staff were very helpful and genuinely cared about your order and how it was to be prepared.The menu could use a few more details to include things like mentioning that they would be using garlic aioli on a club sandwich. Sandwich was delicious but the garlic aioli wad unexpected and overwhelmed the entire taste of the sandwich including the bacon. I enjoy garlic aioli on some food items but it should have been mentioned on the menu... my grandchild was not a fan of garlic aioli but loves plain mayonnaise on her sandwich. We had to reorder the sandwich after everyone else was served and watch my 3-year-old wait while everyone else was eating. This could have been a non-issue had they only taken time to mention this small detail on the menu.Kid-friendliness: As I mentioned in my review we had to have a 3-year-old waitand have her food remade because of the ingredients. The staff bent over backwards to help keep her entertained during the wait for her meal. Made the whole ordeal not nearly as bad as it could have been. Any of us that have 3-year-old children or grandchildren know they are not the most patient people on the planet.”

“I haven’t been here since it’s been Stone 8 until today - although I have had pizza brought to me from there (which is DELICIOUS!), and it’s really nice. They’ve redone everything since I was last here and it was a great place to do a birthday party.The family enjoyed bowling, and also pizza and soda. There were additional options, as well. It’s a nice setup, and as I mentioned earlier, we love the pizza. We just had cheese and pepperoni today, but other times my son brings us a chicken with country sweet sauce and it’s my fav! I heard from other locals today that there’s another highly recommended flavor which is the Stone 8.We’ll definitely be back and it’s nice to see money invested into some of these places that are staples of the towns. ??”

“This is the best little bar I have ever been in Was there at least 50 yrs ago. Always wanted to go back. Great crowd then and even today. Finally got back 2 yrs ago. It was everything I remembered and more. Friday Happy Hour is the best. Try to go as much as BETH and I can. A few beers, a couple of dances and a lot of fun. It is truly a family you are with. “Went to the Sodus location for my son’s birthday. They’ve always gone to the Weedsport location and wanted to try this one for his day. There were 6 of us and 3 children, two 2 yr olds and a 4mo old. Needless to say we sort of took over the place. The bartender treated us like family and the kids like her own. Regular stopped in and had great conversation and he took to the kids who were treating the place like they’ve been there many times. Great beer and cider, good prices and wonderful people. “Upstairs tenant " a karen" came in complaining to customers about a sticker on vehicle because her child's behavior got him suspended from school.... by disrupting paying customers , she'd have been given a warning about potential eviction.Other than the upstairs tenant, excellent.”

“I have to give PaPa's place 5 stars. We order from them at least a couple of times a month. The food is always good and they deliver to me in Savannah. I gave it a 4 star on the atmosphere because it's not a sit down kinda place. Don't get me wrong, you can sit and eat there if you'd like. It's more like the Chinese joint ya get it to go most the time. Keep up the great work PaPa's Place!!..??”
