I asked for white rice was given black rice she seemed upset so I just paid and left got white rice somewhere else
The best Haitian food in town! Every meal I’ve had here has been fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. The portions are generous, and I love chatting with everyone whenever I stop by. They always make me feel welcome. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Haitian cuisine. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

New Taste serves flavorful Haitian-inspired dishes with warm and fluffy rice, tender oxtail that falls off the bone, and delicious black bean sauce. The menu also features tasty options like Tasso (fried turkey) with black rice and plantains, and laloo. The food is fresh, flavorful, and incredibly authentic, with favorites like Fish Stew, Griot, and Stew Chicken that never fail. The Rice and Beans are always fluffy and fresh, while the plantains—whether green or yellow—are crispy and so good. Pikliz is a chef’s kiss, and the Pate kode is fresh and delicious, especially the herring. The food hits and is full of mad flavor. The staff were super nice and friendly, made the whole vibe feel welcoming. This spot is a hole-in-the-wall, but the food is straight fire.
