“When I was in college I was coming here almost daily to do my work. Sometimes I’d try other places but nothing compared to Mandy Bean.

The coffee is on the “pricier” side but if it was a corporate business no one would bat an eye, so I personally don’t mind because I know regardless of what I order it will be consistently made well and I am more than happy to support a small business.

They are usually busy but if I had to wait for a table/seat I was never waiting for more than 10 minutes. Plenty of parking. Bathroom is always clean. The music is perfect for concentrating on my work. It is a comfortable space for working and also to come with a friend. Their everything seasoned croissant is one of my favorite things ever. The staff is always patient, kind, and knowledgeable. My boyfriend isn’t really into coffee drinks so always finds himself enjoying a seasonal tea. There is something for everyone here.“

“Best coffee in Whitestone. Coffee beans to purchase here are more expensive than gold, very high quality though. Everything is good here, seems relatively understaffed at times, but would recommend definitely better than the other overpriced crap in Whitestone, especially the guido espresso bar around the corner that charges 10 dollars for a quad espresso. 🇬🇷“

“This is a really sweet cafe in Harlem! I was visiting from Oregon when someone suggested I stop by, and I'm sincerely glad I did. You can tell the owner and employees care about their craft, and have fostered a great community in their cafe. Great coffee, delish pastries, kind people. What more could you want?“

You will never need to go back to over-priced, poor quality “ premium” coffees again( yes, I’m looking at you, Starbucks) If you like your brew enough to pay extra for it, this is a great find.I just noticed some poor reviews - I’m not sure you should expect employees at a shop (so-called “baristas”) to be expert or to make invented coffee drinks to your (or any) taste.. I don’t expect a modestly paid part-time to know much or make a “specialty drink.” To quote Quentin Tarantino, “ I buy the god stuff. ‘ Cause I want t taste it” If your “drink” is terrible, send it back.“

“My daughter won a contest on Instagram for 2 free meals, drinks and cookies. She invited her sister, so it was 3 of us. We drove from Babylon to Manhasset to try this cute little cafe. When we got there I let the cashier, maybe manager know who we were. She was so gracious, explained the menu items and recommended the coffees we should try. We placed our order and waited. The food that came out was so pretty, smelled amazing and was delicious too.“
