I have been a long time customer, since the early 80’s. For the first time I had lunch at the Hot Bar and met the new executive chef Chris Smith while I was serving myself. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious and he was so friendly and helpful. Kudos to Stews for continually hiring outstanding employees and welcome to Chris.

The quality of fresh produce (a lot locally sourced too!) and fresh meat is amazing. It’s well worth the hour drive from Brooklyn to Yonkers. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, prices very reasonable. Based on the reviews, Stew Leonard's is a grocery store that excels in every way and goes above and beyond every time. The atmosphere, people, and service are top tier on top of all of their fresh tasty food. They offer fresh produce, quality meats, and a fun, family-friendly grocery experience. The bakery, dairy, and deli are standout departments with excellent selection and good service. It can get busy and crowded, especially at peak times, but the quality makes it worth the trip.
They serve hot Thanksgiving food year round and have the best burger combo during the summer season. Their ice cream is the tastiest and freshest around, with a great dessert at the ice cream bar like the strawberry shortcake with vanilla ice cream. There is award winning mozzarella, chicken soup, and amazing samples. Prepared food is plentiful, and catering is fabulous, on time, and tastes great with a great price. The store is clean, friendly, and well stocked with reasonable prices. Staff are very nice and helpful. The Stew Leonard store brand milk tastes different and fresher, and the fresh made raw chicken patties are great.
