“The BEST Chinese food I've ever had. Compared to NYC, the food in this place is tasty, flavorful and delicious. And they are not cheap nor skimpy with their portions either. I kept talking to the young lady up front taking the order. She was so sweet, kind as well as attentive. My family and i are definitely coming back here. I found everything we have ordered to taste so delicious. Thank you China Star for your service and great food. “Hands down the best Chinese food I've had. I went to pace university for 4 years and this was one of my favorite restaurants.They have the best Crab lagoon/ fried cheese wanton, fried chicken and fried rice. I have tried crab rangoon at so many other restaurants and none can compare to Ons. I aways get disappointed. I was pregnant a few weeks ago and had the worst craving for the wanton. I drove over an hour to get it every time and wanted to cry tears of joy. The only downsides are that they only take cash, the place looks so old and the bathroom is dirty.“

“This Chinese takeout was right by the pier in a shopping plaza, easy parking. The steamed white rice large size was quart portion and very good!! not grainy hard undercooked. And best of all, price was best deal you could find anywhere in NY!! Thank you and would visit without a doubt!!“

“Simple walk-in & order style chinese spot.
Prices are very fair. I think these are the best Chinese BBQ ribs in the area. The wonton soup is also good and can really satisfy a cold. There is a slight black pepper taste to it.

I always get what I expect and am always left feeling satisfied.“

“My wife and I are long time residents of Somers and last we ordered out from Q’s was about a decade ago. Not so good back then…excellent today. What a difference! Our food including soup was exemplary - tasty, not salty and most importantly, fresh! Many thanks and we surely have a new go to for Chinese food.

“Wonderful gourmet Chinese take-out in Mahopac and worth our 30 minute ride. Tasty not oily or over salted. The boneless spare ribs, Wonton Soup were splendid! Then Moo Shoo Pork and Chicken with Broccoli. Yummy. A BIg step up from the usual Chinese take-out out restaurant. And large portions as well!“

“Ming Hing is the absolute best Chinese food in Mahopac! I have been going here for over 20 years and I have tried just about every Chinese restaurant from Carmel to Somers to Yorktown. Ming Hing is consistently delicious! I can always count on them for great Chinese food and great service, even when they are extremely busy. If you haven’t tried Ming Hing yet, give them a try!

Parking: Just park across the street in the lot because it’s hard to get street parking.“

“Favorite food here is shrimp fried rice. It is freshly made. Plenty of shrimp and vegetables. Shrimp and broccoli, general tso chicken, ribs excellent. Egg rolls a little greasy. Staff professional and hardworking. Prices are not bad. Large shrimp fried rice $8.00. This is a regular spot for me. Place looks plain but clean.“

“The food is amazing. When my husband and I drive up to roscoe (we are from long island) we always detour off route to stop here and grab some sweet and sour chicken and beef lo main. It's soo good!! “Nice local spot offering traditional Chinese menu. We ordered Pork Fried Dumplings, and these were flavorful and crisp, as were the Egg Rolls. Our entrees were the Hunan Special, a spicy dish of jumbo shrimp, crab meat, chicken, pork, black mushrooms, and vegetables, and the Happy Family with similar ingredients minus the spicy kick. Both were prepared well and fresh. We opted to dine in, and the tables were clean and well lit.“

Went to pick up the phone and it was done within 15 minutes. Food was hot and fresh. I got a little bit of everything. Didn’t like so much of the beef I got with the broccoli. Tried a piece and tasted little weird. Everything else was delicious. I got egg/shrimp roll, vegetable fried and white rice, beef and broccoli and the sesame chicken was very good. “Recently we stopped at China Wok on the way home to pick up something for dinner. It seemed to be new Owner or Management. It was a Takeout order, I found the food to taste very fresh, the Vegetables and rice were delicious. The chicken was tender as well. The service was fast and friendly. I'm guessing that the majority of their business is takeout, that's why I rate the atmosphere 4 star, there's always room for improvement, for a takeout place it was acceptable, at least it was clean. I would definitely eat there again.“

“Their house special egg Foo young is something amazing. The combination of ingredients is always fresh which leaves every bite tasting like the first. I've tried most of the dishes and they are excellent, the Mei fun is another favorite and texture powerhouse. A must try spot.“
