“My wife and I had dinner here on the last night of our anniversary trip (Tuesday evening), and it was the perfect way to end our stay in Ashtabula. The restaurant is just a quick minute’s walk from the beautiful River Bend Hotel — super convenient!

We didn’t think to make a reservation since Google Maps showed no wait on a Tuesday, but it turned out to be quite busy. We put our name in and walked down to Bridge Street Tavern for a couple of drinks while we waited. Tip for anyone visiting: if you know when you’d like to dine, definitely make a reservation — it’s worth it.

Once seated, we had an excellent experience. The flank steak was phenomenal, and my wife’s salmon was cooked perfectly. Our waitress, Jamie, took great care of us, and we really noticed how well the entire staff worked together — the waitresses and bar team were all covering for one another seamlessly, which made for smooth and attentive service.

Highly recommend stopping at Bascule Bridge Grille when passing through Ashtabula. Great food, great service, and a warm local atmosphere — a perfect spot for any special evening!”

“We had a group of 7 on a holiday weekend and were very impressed with their ability to seat us right away. There is tons of outdoor seating with the tables being far enough away from each other that you don’t feel like you are invading someone else’s dinner. The food was good and the service was excellent. The view from the patio was very nice. I would highly recommend!”

“Our favorite restaurant to go to on special occasions like our anniversary .. I highly recommend this place.. the burrata app was so good and so were our entree .. I had the linguine mare which I substituted a cream sauce which was delicious and my husband had the chicken Roberta which was delicious too .. also got the pistachio ricotta cake too!! Our waiter Giuseppe was awesome as well!!!”

“My first time here was tonight. I got a Gyro combo. So I did not get to eat my food for 45 mins, (driving to our destination and then waited about 20 mins to eat.) but the fries were still crispy and delicious! The gyro….absolutely incredible. The flavors are out of this world. Will be returning because I’d like to try more menu items!!”

“We spoke with the owner, Jay, today. This is just the most unique place to have a drink along the many Great Lakes towns we have visited. He told us he is hosting a Jeep club tomorrow, and we wish him the most heeps of well. We all need to visit the Bun Boat to keep these types of unique establishments thriving!”

“I have passed this place numerous times many many times every time I would go by. It was always closed till I found out their hours, which are great hours 6 a.m. to 3 PM seven days a week the first time I went there I had breakfast. The second time I went. I had breakfast today was the third time I’ve been there. I tried something different for lunch phenomenon food phenomenal staff restaurant is very clean tidy the pies are phenomenal. I would recommend this family owned restaurant to anybody in the area or anybody passing through the pancakes were phenomenal. They tasted like pancakes not something out of the freezer not something that came out of a big box and tasted like the box they came in.”

“What a great place! After hours of traveling the name is what first caught our attention and the place did not disappoint! A friendly neighborhood pub, incredible staff, ice cold beer, and good hearty food! Kate was friendly, knowledgeable and FUN! It was truly reminiscent of my time in Ireland! I’m not sure we ever will be, but if we’re back in the area, we’d definitely visit again!”

“We have been eating at Los Compadres for many years. We both enjoy the variety of meals and drinks that are available. The service is outstanding from the time you step in the door until you have completed you meal. If you have a large party, you need to let them know because they work really hard to make sure everyone, not just the celebrating party, are served the meals quickly. I highly recommend this restaurant.”

“I just tried this place today and it is PHENOMENAL! The staff was very kind and explained the menu to me since my Español is lacking!🤣 I had the pizza which was great, so much cheese and we LOVE cheese! also had the pastrami sandwich, its such a big sandwich and SOOO DELICIOUS! Last week had the chicken chichirones( I know I spelled that wrong) and they were FANTASTIC, the sauce they come with is so good! highly recommend and we will be back!”

“This place is totally amazing. !!! Drove up from Marion Ohio just to check out wineries and picked this one for the "Goddess" name. (Cause we are five Goddesses you know) The atmosphere is historic and the signs are so cool to read and enjoy. The owners are so nice and helpful. Great place to celebrate a 30th birthday. Wine samples are a great way to decide on which amazing wines to settle on for the night. This is a perfect neighborhood watering establishment and I highly recommend The Goddess as a great experience for anyone with a desire for a Cheers atmosphere. We will return soon. “Just went there last night and everything was fantastic there were six of us, we got appetizers, we got our meals and we got our sides. The service was amazing and the flavors fantastic with everything cooked perfectly there's not one complaint that the 6 of us could have found. We all left very full and extremely satisfied. “Alright so here’s the deal this place has the formula for greatness here in Bula but what they need is some attention to detail. 90% of eating is how it looks, from gas station food to fine dining. I plead with the owner of this place to take his time and make a GREAT looking pizza. The crust, sauce, cheese, and meats were all there they just needed to be tied together formally.. cause what I got at Capo’s on the 23 of May was pretty ugly to say the least you had pockets of exposed sauce with no meat or cheese covering it and cheese on more slices than others. no matter how swamped you guys may be if you take the time to make a pizza that not only tastes great and looks the part too- then you’ll be set. Wings were perfect, crispy and crunchy although they were swimming in a pool of sauce which was a bit much for me but I look past that I won’t knock’em for that. Price is very very reasonable I was able to get 2 drinks 1 medium pizza and 10 wings for about 20$ which isn’t bad in my book. I believe in you guys and I love supporting small business you guys have it all just make the pizzas look the part.”
