An interesting venue for a public "reservation" as this used to be the Acacia Country Club. Almost 10 years ago, a nonprofit bought the property on the condition that it return to a naturally forested state. This will take at least another 30 years to achieve, but in the meantime what used to be fairways and greens are slowly filling in, while existing areas of oak trees are already filling in and expanding thanks to their seedlings. Awesome place to take a stroll, relax and soak up some nature, and to birdwatch! Located in Lyndhurst, this park/greenway is a great spot! There is plenty of parking and a paved path that goes through lush wildflowers. Every time I walk here, I see animals such as deer, squirrels, and lots of birds. I've seen some pretty big bucks here actually. This is a tranquil place and I love coming here to wind down and enjoy nature.
