Chicken curry soup cup + fish slider $14.60+ tip.

Perfect / expected curry flavor with plenty of large bites of actual chicken, a few diced onions... thank you for not doing an american-twist on curry flavor... ha, its already a soup, but perfectly as expected.

The fish slider was better than expected. Anticipated a sort-of nugget of fish, but got an actual hunk of real fish, enough to stick a few bites worth outside the cute / puffy bun. I loved the huge round pickle bite on top. The tartar/coleslaw filler was perfectly fresh, crunchy, creamy, with a bit of the familiar tang.

Wonderful. I must come back to try... the rest of the menu... ok, a few times, not just 1 more visit!

The pub felt appropriately "pubby"... of course American sized, but didnt feel like an American mid-dinner chain. High ceilings, dark carved wood, stained glass. Felt quaint (enough) with English charm.

“Each time I’ve been the food has been delicious. We had a larger party on a Saturday night and they were able to keep up pretty good. Considering it looked like our waitress had the whole inside as her section. The wings both bone in and boneless were very good. Burgers were a win as well. I’ll keep coming back.“

“Great food. Great service. Going on a busy night can lead to some issues. I was with a party of 9 and although most of the food came out great, a couple of people got lukewarm/cold dishes. I chalk it up to large group and busy night but still something they need to work on.“

“I tried a flight of their beers one Monday evening, and I was pretty happy with them. They have a big selection, and their Belgian tripel was a good example of the type. I feel like that’s an easy style of beer to mess up, so it’s a good sign that they nailed it. The brewery is located in a cool area of town, and the brewery itself was quite pleasant inside. The staff was professional, but I get the feeling that they get swamped with customers sometimes. Toxic is definitely a good brewery though.“

“The menu is an amazing idea but half of an amazing menu is execution. Some of the dishes fell short but the stuff mushroom was executed perfectly. The Jamaican jerk Chicken was not made by a Jamaican to say the least offensive thing. The Gnocchi was good but there was no Wow factor. So we decided to end with a dessert and that was the pumpkin cheesecake and it lacked flavor, texture and technique. The server was amazing, the place was clean and the ambience was great. Ask for Lance. He did great.“

“This is Dayton’s hangout. 2 dollar tall beers with the possibility of crafts being on tap (revolving taps!)... this is 24/7/365. Not much for food but they have an arrangement with the mexican establishment across the street and others. Great service. The bar also sports a pool table and is home to an award winning Billiards team. Dog friendly patio.“

“Years ago I came here and was not a fan. Decided to give the place another go and it did not disappoint!! By far some of the best poutine I’ve ever had. Also a big fan of the southern comfort foxy fries (I actually dreamt about getting them again). Truly could not choose a favorite between the two. My boyfriend and I have gone twice this week it is so good. Also tried the pulled pork sandwich which the meat and bbq sauce were terrific, my only complaint is that it could’ve had a little more meat on it. We also had the wings which were well seasoned and the sauce on the side complimented them well. We already want to come back and try the smash burger and other items on this menu. Very excited to add Lock 27 into our restaurant rotation.

*update as we now come here once a week. The classic smash burger is out of this world, we have to order atleast one when we come. Also tried the blue cheese chicken sandwich (swapped BC for Swiss though) and it did not disappoint. The slaw was a little too wet but the chicken was crispy and not too thick. The poutine has been consistently amazing. This fall they had my personal favorite HVO blackberry bliss on tap and then rotated to a similar berry cider that might have turned into my *new* favorite drink. Also had a berry cocktail (name?) since my original review and it was good. They can’t serve liquor on sundays though.“
