“Great service and great atmosphere. Plenty of parking, public restrooms. Service was prompt, food came quickly, and order was correct. Pretzel bites and nachos were good as starters. Parmesan fries tasted great. I have to agree with several other reviews that the wings were overcooked and dry. The sauces tasted good but the chicken was just poor quality. I would visit again but would steer clear of the wings.Parking: Open parking lot for the entire shopping center. Plenty of handicap and regular parking spots.“

“We stopped in after a movie for a late dinner. Our server was Lauren who was excellent. She answered all of our questions about the menu with a smile! We enjoyed a wonderful Rueben Sandwich and the 3 sausage appetizer (had it for dinner) and a bowl of french onion soup. Everything was delicious and well made. A good portion for the price too! After we finished dinner we moved to the bar where Conner made us german cake martini and a large pilsner served in a boot! He sure knew a lot about the history of the restaurant and the area! e split a piece of the tres lechs that we were told was homemade. We truly can't wait to come back to Columbus to dine here again. Thanks for the wonderful service and the scrumptious food!!“

“What a great experience! In a time that we lazily choose a chain eatery, it’s high time to reflect on what gave us our chains ⛓️Old-school eatery with wood and fixtures older than myself feels like home to me. Add a friendly family and capable staff and some cool trivia and you get a singular experience that was all to common just a couple of decades ago. We had bangers and mash, shepherds pie ?, and ribs. All were outstanding and despite their ample and intimidating proportions nary a take-away box was needed. Hail Columbus, Hail Eire ?? and many thanks!“

“Atmosphere is very laid back. I came here looking for Blackbird Kitchen, thinking it was a restaurant, and was surprised to find that it’s the name of the food sold in the bar. So Blackbird Kitchen is not its own separate restaurant. You order food at the bar and they bring it to your table. Service was quick and the food was good overall. Parking was a bit confusing. Do not park in the parking lot before 6:30pm! You will need to find street parking, which was not hard. Outdoor seating area. They have live bands.Parking: Don’t park in the parking lot before 6:30pm. Free street parking down the side streets.“

“South High School held their annual picnic there, after a two year hiatus. It was held outside, as it has been in previous years. There were 3 food trucks, a pay bar, a shelter house, a huge tent farther out in the lawn area & a stage where a DJ played songs from the 60's & 70's. PLENTY of outdoor beautiful space to reunite with former classmates. If you have a large event you want held outside, inquire for prices & accommodations.“

“Okay, I honestly love this bar. I went for the first time to visit a friend for his birthday. This is his regular bar and it was honestly like Cheers or something. The bartender knew them all and was just the sweetest guy. (He also was an older straight man, as far as I know, but was totally comfortable flirting back and forth with my male friend all night. It was really just . . . comforting.) They have a patio that's pretty large and open air. Yes, there will be people outside smoking, but it's not enclosed so you may be able to sit further away from people and not be too bothered. The inside seemed to have plenty of seating. Were there pool tables? I can't honestly remember. I was drinking. The drinks! They had a lot of liquor varieties. I don't know what their beer menu looked like, but I was able to have a few rounds of a mid-level reposado tequila (not Cuervo) and buy my friend a drink for about $20. I was floooooored and left a good tip. The bartender also had come out several times to bring us drinks on the patio (!) and empty everyone's ashtrays. He had a good rapport with many of the customers, I could tell. It's a dive bar in the best way--where the drinks are cheap but good, the atmosphere is chill, and everyone will eventually know your name.“

“The family and I just finished dinner here!! It was very tasty!! I had an awesome cheese burger!! Anyone that wants a pound or more of beef should get the double or triple size!! The meatloaf was very rich and tasty! My daughter and I enjoyed the wedge fries and she devoured her cheese burger!!! We tried the Mac and cheese and do not recommend it:( it was very hard and chewy, only the bottom of it was edible but very tasty! The Press Grill has a very comfortable and inviting atmosphere, not too loud to prevent talking but does have music playing. Overall I would definitely recommend the Press Grill and eat here again.“

Sloopy's Pub Hilliard Bar • $

“This is a real dive bar, not one of those fake hipset dives like you find in the Short North with 8 dollar beers, and bartenders who are more interested in their snaps than their customers. cheap drinks and good people. You might think it's a redneck bar, but it's one of the most inclusive bars you will find outside of 270. People who hate this place probably got checked for being obnoxious.“

“I was pleasantly surprised by Meister's. I recall reading other Yelp reviews from a few years ago that mentioned rude service. If that's still the case, I didn't experience it or see it with other patrons. I went during an Ohio State men's basketball B1G tournament game, and the sound was on which was appreciated. I also saw that they were a Browns backer bar, so it seems like they have local sports fans covered. Their six draft beers were priced well, but the main event for me was the deep dish pizza. I'm no stranger to this Chicago classic, and I (again) was pleasantly surprised at the quality. The bottom crust was a little thinner than you might find at some places, but to me this was an advantage. My one critique is that the Meat Lovers pizza seemed light on the meat, but there was ample sauce and cheese to satisfy. There were also daily drink specials, a pool table and dart boards, the latter located in a semi-private area with its own TV. I'd go back, and I'd even try their regular crust pizza which looked tasty from afar.“

“It has expanded since it first opened years ago. The layout is inviting and seems to cater to a wide variety of crowds (genX - genZ). The service is what you'd expect from any other sports bar, the bartenders are personable and attentive. The food is bar food, which isn't a bad thing, especially served with alcohol and alcohol, so enjoy.Prices are reflective of the current economy, inflation and supply issues make going out a little more tight, but this place was worth the hangout.“

“My husband, an original South Sider, loves this bar. I go reluctantly out of love for him and I guess I really can’t complain about this Columbus dive bar. We’ve gone randomly during the afternoon on weekdays and the atmosphere is pretty chill. The service has always been great, my husband enjoys chit chatting with the daytime bartender who also happens to have grown up on the south side. I tend to be less chatty so their Keno machine is a highlight for me and they have a good liquor selection.“

“This is my first time here and I am impressed with how attentive the bartender was. The drinks were poured really well and the bartender was very intuitive and informative about about the different spirits. The jukebox was pretty cool and the pool tables were pristine, although they cost $1.25 versus the standard $1.00 elsewhere in the city. It is a little small but make up for it with the amazing atmosphere. It is nestled right on the corners of Detroit and 4th streets and can easily be missed if you are not paying attention. Then you would be sorry because it really is a lovely little gem.“

“Visited Columbus and searched a nearby place for lunch and decided on City Tavern based on location and reviews. We were not disappointed. I ordered the mushroom dip appetizer. Wow! Absolutely delish and unique. The side salad was nice and generously portioned with mixed greens and not cheap iceburg lettuce. My parents ordered the Italian sub, onion petals, wings, and apple pecan salad, and said they were very good too. Good variety of beer, and enjoyed the music. I also appreciated the phone charger station. Will definitely consider returning if back in the area.“
