“So, stop waiting until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until winter, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink.... there is no better time than right now to be happy.“

“This was my first visit to the old bag of nails pub. My son who is from Columbus recommended it. I was a little disappointed that I could not try the fish which it is famous for, because they also fry shrimp in the same oil and I am allergic to shellfish. They are also known for their burgers, which I decided to try. I ordered the bacon cheddar barbecue burger, and it was very delicious. Instead of fries I ordered their cheddar soup of which I was not a fan. My son tried the potstickers and the fish dinner and said both were excellent.Parking is street side. Their outdoor patio looks very inviting for warmer whether.“

The Daily Growler - Powell Bar • $$
258 W Olentangy St, Powell - 9.69 miles

“I've been coming here for my book club this year and I have really enjoyed it! Lots of drink options and the prices are very reasonable, and the bar tender is always friendly. I have even come here a few times outside of book club and it's just a nice place to unwind and have a beer and the bar tender is always helpful in giving recommendations if I'm trying to decide between drinks. Added bonuses lots of parking, clean bathroom and indoor and outdoor space, and sometimes they have really cool food trucks.“

“The food was really good but the drinks weren't that refreshing. We got meals with hot buffalo sauce so we needed good drinks to go with them. My man couldn't even finish his chicken sandwich because his drink wasn't very cold and it took a while to get refills.“

“A nice little tavern in Powell. They have some interesting looking cocktails. Beer list was ok, but lacking stouts and porters even in December. Food was good, but not exceptional. I had fish and chips. Fish was good and not too greasy, so good points there, but the fries are "shoestring" fries and so don't retain their heat for more than 2 minutes, so they definitely lost points there. (Especially when served as part of fish and chips, you expect the fries to be more than an after thought.) Son had the J Hancock burger which he thought also fell short of expectations. He ordered without onions and it came out without peppers too, which may have contributed to it falling a bit short. Wife thought her salad was quite tasty. I'll probably return, but will avoid the fries.“

“We left wild lights at the zoo, not knowing where to go to eat. Joe's pub was open so we decided to go there. We ordered a quesadilla, wrap and kids pizza with fries. The food was very impressive! I didn't expect it to be so good. My kid also wanted me to say the fries were amazing. The service was great, even on a holiday.Highly recommend. The only reason for the 4 stars on atmosphere is because there was football everywhere. And I'm not a fan. But the food and service was amazing.I will for sure go back!“

“This is a great place with great food! I've been coming here for many years. I had a recent sickness after eating there but it turns out it had nothing to do with their food it was my acid reflux on steroids. Apparently acid reflux can feel like food poisoning if it's bad enough!“
