“Enrique was a great, very attentive server on Friday night. He brought our drinks and chips and salsas quickly and gave us time to look over the menu. The chips are light and crispy, and the creamy sauce is mild while the fresh salsa has a nice spicy taste to it without being too hot. Our food was delicious and generous portions. Enrique checked on us frequently to offer drink refills and more chips; he couldn't have been a better server! Thanks to Enrique and the chefs!“

“We had 7 people in our party. We all got chicken, 2 sandwiches, the rest tenders. All of us mentioned that the chicken was over salted. We did not say anything to the server. The two that got the sandwiches took the breading off, that helped. The service was very good, she was attentive and a couple in our group are needy. She smiled thru it all.“

It's not just the Taco Salad, which Taco Salad originated (yes, they did), but all the menu items have a stand-alone personality, a draw established by the original owner back in the fair-play hippie days. The Norwood location is the most laid-back Taco Casa. The new manager is tops, dedicated as they come. Grab a carry-out and hit the little park across Mtgmy road. Taco Casa is as much a Cincinnati tradition now as the chili spots. And a much better deal if you've ever seen Gold Star's "double decker," overpriced, sad, threadbare cafeteria fare. Yuk. Just finished a TC taco salad and I'll say it again: the much-imitated but never duplicated buttermilk dressing is a secret recipe I'd give anything to learn. If you know, you know :-) it's the best.“
