“First time to visit was today. The place was busy but the service was top notch, barely a wait. The coleslaw was probably the best I’ve ever had! I ordered the shrimp basket with fries, I took 1/2 home with me because there must have been 24 2” shrimp in that basket. We will return when we’re in the area. Oak Harbor is fortunate to have such a good restaurant with extremely good prices.”

“I love Wild Brew, such a warm & relaxing environment! Have had so many business meeting there and it’s in such a convenient location for a quick coffee or a leisurely brunch! I highly recommend their chicken salad croissant sandwiches on the go or the Warm Turkey Pesto is my favorite if I have the time to dine is so cozy in the all different areas of the coffee shop. My new favorite drink is the Mistletoe Matcha bc I’m not a huge coffee drinker but they have a drink for everyone! A huge fan of their seasonal menus that change so I’m not stuck getting the same thing each time! 🪄✨☕️”

“First timers and have to say, definitely a hidden gem! Started with French onion soup and huge, hand battered mushrooms. Long Island Iced Tea was awesome. Crazy Memphis style chicken sandwich with honey barbecue sauce and fries was my son’s choice. Hubby had a basic burger and fries. I chose the patty melt and tater tots. Nice that for those who ordered pop, that a pitcher is brought to the table for refills. Staff is attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back!”

“Their pizza is outstanding! I took a meat lovers and chicken bacon ranch to a family gathering where family members from an hour radius all brought pizza that was local to where they lived. The Blackberry Corner Tavern pizzas were the standout! I overheard siblings making sure that other family members tried the Blackberry pizzas and didn't miss out. I don't order pizza often, but when I do, it will be from here!”

“Solid Chinese food for the Genoa area. Recently, my wife and I were both sick. Feeling lousy and tired. Man, did the excellent soup from Hong Kong hit the spot!! So good and so comforting. Our favorite is the Hot & Sour soup, but we tried the Vegetable Soup. Perfectly cooked veggies in a nice broth. Consider getting a large Vegetable Soup and a Chicken Rice soup and combine them if you have more than 3 people or want another round of soup later. I plan to try the soups I haven't had yet. (Atmosphere rating 3-star b/c it's a take-out place)”

“Good food. We really like this place but they have some very weird hours and it appears as though they close early whenever it suits them?

We stopped by yesterday on our way home from the lake to get some lunch only to see that they don't open until 2:45. Fine, that was our fault for not checking first. Tonight we decided to try again and Google reports that they're open until 7:00. At 6:30 the front doors were locked.

I'm still giving a good score because the food is very good, it's fast and the portions are generous.

My advice is to call before you make the trip over there. I generally just order when I'm there because it's so fast, but I'll be calling in my order from here on out.”

“Ordered 2 steak egg & cheese bagels this morning and got 2 bacon egg and cheese bagels instead with 2 scrawny pieces of under cooked bacon. Seem like whatever you order, it's crap or not what you ordered. Won't be back.”

“A sweet waitress went way above and beyond her duty, My husband, I and our two friends went in to Waters Edge Restaurant, my husband and our friends ordered, I ask if they had milk shakes because I told her I’m having problems swallowing food down, the food won’t go down. She said so sorry we don’t have milk shakes so I just ordered a root beer to drink while everyone ate (it’s ok though) our sweet waitress whipped up milk with ice whip cream and made me a milk shake with whipped cream and chocolate sauce on top. Brought me a big cup. I said oh wow! I love you thank you!! She said it complementary. She made my day how thoughtful and sweet of her to care so much about another person’s problems and health issues. The food looked delicious my husband and our two friends said it was. Thank you! I wish I would have got her name.”
