“We are from out of town & saw the parking lot was busy but decided we’d try anyways! It was really really busy but Sara our waitress apologized - it looked like she was the only waitress. We assured her it’s ok & she was wonderful. It took a very long time to get our food but when Sara brought it - it was hot & delicious! We had no complaints at all! We also appreciated how nice Sara was in spite of her trying to service the entire place! She was wonderful“

“I took my family of four there after a friend recommended. Usually, when we go out to dinner at least one meal isn’t that good. I was amazed that everything was absolutely amazing. The steakhouse burger I ordered was hands down the best burger I’ve ever eaten. The poutine was great, the pretzel sticks with beer cheese was sublime. My wife and 17 year old daughter ordered chicken sandwiches and they raised the bar on chicken sandwiches. The salad was great. My younger daughter (picky eater) ordered a pizza from The 304 Wood Fired Pizza, it was the best pizza I’ve had in the Ohio Valley. In conclusion, this place is one of the best restaurants, if not the best restaurant in Wheeling. Definitely going to be a regular there. I’d have to give it a 15 out of 10 rating.“

“I had some great ribs at the wheeling casino during this holiday weekend the gentlemen on the truck was not only kind but very pleasant to deal with was very knowledgeable about smoking meats and flavoring but the ribs were hot and very moist the way they should be a great smoke flavor packed with a great rub. we got to talking about me smoking meats and still learning. he gave me an idea to try with Jim beam which will be my next task on the smoker. I want to thank you for chatting with me and the great ribs 😋 😊“

“Courtney is one of your best workers. Always cheerful and greets when coming through the door. She remembers my take out order. Knows it by heart. I watched her work her butt off today filling orders as a few other workers stood around pretending to be busy. As the to-go line was getting long. “Stopped by for a tray of take n bake on the way home from New Jersey. I called in the order and showed up when they told me. I stood in the store waiting for about 15 minutes. I asked another person and they pulled it from the refrigerator, it had been ready when I got there.🤨 good thing the pie is so freaking tasty!“

“Such a fabulous place to spend time with family and friends and to make new friends each time we go there. Food is perfect and Joey, Abbey, and all of the staff make you feel like they’ve known you their whole life. “I love this restaurant and come here often. Stopped in yesterday for my birthday and the waiter brought our drinks and then didn’t come back to our table for 25 mins. Tried to get his attention a couple times. When he finally did I asked for the check to pay for the drinks. As I was leaving (as he had no other tables) he was on his phone . So I guess that’s why we didn’t get waited on. Still a great place to eat with great food“

“This week I took my high school aged class to Oglebay Resort for a field trip. We took this same trip last year and had lunch at generations outside on the deck. This year when we returned all they asked for was dinner at generations. A quick search showed me that it was trivia night. There was NO WAY I was taking 20 teenage girls there during trivia!! 🤣🤣🤣 They were more than happy when I said we could order take out! I felt awful calling to order food for 22 people during trivia. I wish I could remember who I spoke with, she was sweet, happy, and pleasant! She didn’t seem phased or bothered by my huge order! When we completed to order she read everything back to me and it was perfect! She then replied with “give us 25 minutes and we will have everything ready” I couldn’t believe it!! 25 minutes for alllll that food!! I went to pick up our order and sure enough it was ready!! She helped me carry all the bags to my car, still smiling and sweet as ever! I thanked her and was on my way back to the resort! The kids all got their dinner from Generations and everything was perfect! Not one order had a mistake! Our food was amazing and perfect!! Thank you!! You all are amazing!! My class will hopefully see you again next year! I will see you again soon!! You are definitely one of our all time favorites!“

“The best Chinese food in the valley, and I've tried them all! Not only is the food delicious, the price point is right, and the staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming. My favorite menu item is the crab Rangoon (cheese wontons). I get them every time I order, and could the entire bag to myself. I highly recommend giving china wok a try, you won't be disappointed.“

“First time I went to pickles, I went specifically to get their fried pickles. This was about a year and a half ago and the coating was very thick and I was highly disappointed. I thought how can you have a bar with that name and not have outstanding pickles??? My girlfriend talked me into going again the other day and I thought okay. I'll give them another chance. Oh my gosh! Whoever made them did a perfect job. The coatiing was thin. The pickles were large Spears. It was awesome! Awesome! awesome! Did I mention it was awesome? Lol Can't wait to go back!“

“I woke up this morning knowing I wanted to write a review from our visit at Applebees last night. We had the most outstanding waitress and I feel like she needs shown some love on here! Her name is Monica. We called ahead because we were coming in with a party of 14. That’s overwhelming even for the most seasoned waitress. She handled us with such ease and grace. She was spot on with everything she did. From taking our orders straight up to having Togo boxes ready to roll with our checks. She had everything so well put together and in order. Our food was great, everyone who had adult beverages, loved them! Especially my husband who got the Shark Bowl! So- coming from one waitress to another- MAJOR KUDOS to Monica and all kitchen staff! We had a GREAT visit and everything was on point!!! THANK YOU!!!“

“This location has always been my favorite, food service, everything! However I was moved to leave a review due to them going the extra mile for me today! There was something that wasn’t available on the menu, and I called to verify and they confirmed though no longer on the menu I can order it and they’d make it. I said no worries and let them know we were doing Door Dash. The gentleman said to give him a moment, came back and took my information and said to order a certain item and he will make my specific request in its place! ALSO: Austin said the hype about the new wings was worth it.. he said and I quote “the best wings I’ve had in Wheeling in a while”“

“Today My Dad and I was at the Car Show they had going on and we went in and had some lunch and Our Waiter was really good and very nice ☺️ and the place was well cleaned and operated very nicely 🙂 and The food was Delicious 🙂 This was our First time eating here as well but definitely recommend trying of you haven't already“

“we were on the road all day. I got wet muddy we stopped in for dinner didn't realize it was so close to closing they were very sweet I was wrapped in a blanket the waitress was very sweet I have enormous dietary restrictions she even separated the spinach out of the salad mix she checked on us was so sweet and caring. our food was gd she even sent me home with extra biscuits. I just wish I could have gotten her name cute blonde very sweet.“
“Sent my parents here for a special “date night” while they were in from out of town for a show at the Capitol. Made reservations in person and asked for it to be a special night. The restaurant and the waitress were AMAZING. They treated my parents like royalty and made their evening wonderful. Thank you and hats off to everyone at River City. ❤️❤️“

“Very good dinner meal. Terrific meat loaf, gravy, mashed potatoes and buttered spinach. Always enjoy Sonny Boy when back on the Valley. If there are new owners, they were friendly at the check out. Great service and food for a decent price. One of the few places Biden has not ruined.“
