“I am poor, so since covid when they saw to permanently closing their buffet, I have only been back once and gotten carry out once.
The food is bar none the best Indian cuisine in town heartily beating out what is offered by Kebab and Curry on the other end of belden. But cost v. portion sizes is prohibitive for me. I eat like Im being starved at home.
For a time, when I was in a really dark period of the soul and without a job or car I would still uber over to Bombay and binge eat my feelings into submission. The korma, the pakora, the fried chilis, gulab jamun, goat curru, aloo cabbage and mushroom matar and their rice pudding and lassa are solidified pleasant culinary memories that will forever be in my heart.
Prior to this location, I believe bombay sitar was located next to carpet time. I never went there then but once they assumed control of the site from the asian buffet that used to be there (bad food, but had a faux river in it!!) I have been in more than I can begin to count.
I like the paint on the exterior and the sitar. Makes the venue 'pop' for sure.
I miss the owner and Summer at the register. They were always grateful for the patronage and so so kind. I wish I wasnt so self-conscious about not knowing what all the menu has to offer without having tried it on the bar in previous years, and that I were more financially stable. If either or both of those things change for me one day I am eager to become a semi-regular again. Perhaps visual representations of the dishes in the menu or online? I bet that would boost engagement and sales for you!
All my respect and wishes for your continued successes for many, many years to come. You deserve it.“

“This is our favorite Indian food spot in Canton. The garlic naan and the samosas are the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to India). We usually eat here at least once a month and it is consistently delicious! We don’t usually eat in but get it to go so I can’t speak to the atmosphere or waitstaff.“
