Old Capitol Brewing Reviews
I absolutely love going here, the vibes are always right. I’m a sucker for their Tincaps😮💨 bartenders are always so nice and service is always 10/10. If you’re looking for a cozy and welcoming place to have some yummy beer, this is the place!
I stopped in while on a road trip through Ohio, and I’m so glad I did! Great beer + great live music + great conversation with the friendly staff was the perfect combination.
Another great visit at Old Capitol Brewing. Hosted an event there this time and all was great. Great beers and great service and hospitality from Miranda. Glad it is part of the Bobcat Brew Trail!

Old Capitol Brewing is a pleasant little brewery located in the charming town of Chillicothe. They offer a variety of beers, including a popular sour called Parakeet, along with great options like Tincaps and the Irish Stout Fooster. The establishment has a comfortable atmosphere, complemented by live music performances that enhance the experience. The staff is generally friendly and professional, with many customers noting the service as a highlight. Visitors have described it as a cozy and welcoming place to enjoy a drink and connect with the local community. On quiet Sundays, it’s not crowded, making it a relaxing spot to try different beers, including the refreshing Apollo Pale Ale. The brewery does not serve food, only bags of Knotty Pretzels, but this is often overlooked thanks to the kindness of the staff. Customers frequently pick up souvenirs like logo t-shirts, and many appreciate the dog-friendly environment, with a bowl of water always available for pets. Overall, Old Capitol Brewing offers good beer, a welcoming environment, and a true community feel, making it a fantastic stop on the Bobcat Brew Trail.
