“We had 2 parties for my mom’s 90th birthday in January. We ordered a full sheet cake for one party and a half sheet cake for the other. One was marble and one was half chocolate and half yellow. We had a peacock design put on each one as that is my mom’s last name. The cakes were absolutely beautiful! Many of the people at the party commented on how pretty and delicious the cakes were. “This French style bakery in downtown Cincinnati on the corner of 4th and Race Streets is so good. There are several dozen individual pastries in display cases, sandwiches, and artistically beautiful cakes. They have a full coffee bar too. There are little white trays with wax paper lining on top that you pick up as you enter. Then there are several little tongs to take and place the exact items you select on your tray. There are tables to dine in or they have beautiful bags with handles if you want it to go. They take orders for full cakes as well. The blueberry fruit bite I purchased had a delicate surgery glaze and creamy custard on a flakey pastry crust. It was just about bite size. It was so delicious. I want to go back already. Highly recommend. The service was very friendly and helpful in understanding the selections. A beautiful urban cafe and bakery with items hard to find outside of France.“

“This was my first time here, and it didn't disappoint. I was told about Buskins, and I was hoping it was all it was hyped up to be. First, we were greeted immediately by the staff! I ended up getting a dozen doughnuts, loaf of onion rye, and a double butter cake. I was in heaven, at least until I hit the scale!“

Awful host but everybody else was great!

This was my first visit at Perkins.
Our server Leeli was amazing! Very attentive and lovely personality. Explained everything to us and was just warm and welcoming.
The food was amazing also! Everything was just delightful!

**Now the host, Jade/Sage (can't recall which), is a whole other story. Her attitude clearly does not align with what is required of someone who has to deal with the public, at any level! She was savage, completely unpleasant. And placed her phone in the menu, was on her phone the whole time; and her beenie pulled down over her ears to try to hide her earpiece! She is really bad! How can you have her as the first person your customers meet when they walk in? I don't get it 🤔
I even overhead her colleagues (the manager and another male colleague) trying to talk to her about her attitude and , SHE DOES NOT CARE!!“
