I raved about J Gumbos after eating at the Blue Ash location but stopping at the Galbraith next door to Subway I told everyone J Gumbos was way better just to buy a bowl of dry rice. Employee overcharged me for the 6.99 special that started at 11.49 then 9.49 which I paid just to get a bowl of bad rice and no chicken or sausage in their “famous gumbo” and the spoon of sour cream I paid extra for is embarrassing. NGL I’ve worked in this industry and thought I would never complain but this was horrible!

My 1st Time Eating @ J Gumbos Was In Clifton Years Ago However I Happened To Be Taking Someone To Tri Health Yesterday Emergency Situation And Saw This One On Galbraith And Winton Rd. Went Up As I Waited Bad Mistake 1st Of There Was a Sign Posted Said Free Samples As I Entered Wrong I Asked The Guy To Sample The Bread Pudding He Said No Free Samples Of Deserts Really I Said The Didn’t Indicate Specifics. So I Ordered A Bowl Of The Chicken And Rice With Bread Was Hungry Only To Get Back Ti Tri Health To Find Literally No Chicken In My Bowl Although He Said He’d Start a New Thing Of Chicken And Lied. This Is The. Very Reason As I Told My Friend To Stay Out Of Places Like This It Was The Worst Experience Especially For What I Was Charged Will Never Go Back Again Or Recommend This Certain Establishment GARBAGE SND THEY LIE TO YOUR FACE WITH A SMILE SMH

Went here with high hopes of it being as good as I remembered. I unfortunately was very disappointed with the food. The portion of rice was scraped from the pan with no love given hardly a full spoon, the voodoo chicken was more sauce than chicken. The lady behind the counter had the personality of a rock and customer service of someone who had better things to do. The entire experience was junk. If I could give negative stars I would. Give me back my 30 bucks.
This food was garbage...!!!!

J DogFood. Friday special Chicken. Just Horrible. I thought I liked this franchise many years ago. My latest experience may be my last in this dark unwelcoming location on Galbraith Rd.

Arrived 30 minutes before closing and woman behind the counter says she isn't taking orders. I ask if there's anything for sale. She smiles and says no. She wouldn't even let me get a drink to go.

The Gumbo was Really Good! I added some Chedda and made it betta! Topped it with some hot sauce and it was Game On!! I crushed the entire bowl and sopped it up with the bread they serve on the side with it. Yummy!! Service was Great too! He was patient with me as I went through the menu. The Ambiance was nice. I liked the artwork and decorations. Definitely has that New Orleans feel. I will be back! Next time I’ll try the Jambalaya!!

Casual atmosphere with fantastic, authentic Cajun food. A variety of spice/hotness levels and samples are available. The artistic decor and vibe of this small restaurant complement the food and add to the authentic feel. I enjoyed the opportunity to have a combination bowl with three different dishes to enjoy versus a single dish. White or brown rice is an option. Sweet cornbread was delicious.

Absolutely delicious! We were searching for authentic Cajun food in the Cincinnati area for my son’s birthday. He was very satisfied, commenting repeatedly that it tastes just as good as the fare we got in New Orleans. A wonderful gem in the area. We will definitely be repeat customers ❤️
Kid-friendliness: Jambalaya was excellent for the kids!
