Not sure about the food really wanted to try it. But the lady working stayed on her phone the whole time after I express this was my first time there. She continued her conversation on the phone. She did acknowledge me when I walked in and walked over to her station but after that I was just another fly in there.

Omg. SUPER BLAND. IT WZS THR NASTIEST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD. THIS MAKES YOU NEEVR WANT TO TRY NEW FOOD. IF YOU COULD GIVE NEGATIVE...I WOULD. FIRST TIME AND LAST TIME. THE VOODOO CHICKEN WAS GROSS AND THE RICE WASNT COOKED. HAD NO TYPE OF JUICE OR PASTE TO IT. AND THEN THE GUMBO..HOW YOU SERVE GUMBO WITH NO ROUX. DRY AF. I MEAN DRRRRRY AND BLAND. MCL SEASON FOOD BETTER. I WILL NEVER TRY THIS AGAIN. OH THE MEAL WAS SUPPSOED TO COME WITH GARLIC BREAD BUT CAME WITH JUST PALIN WHITE THICK SANDWHICH ROLL BREAD. YALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED. I REFUSE TO EAT MINES. THE DOG TOO. LOL. FRFR. Nearest trashcan please for the WHOLE BUSINESS.

Website made the food look very appealing. In reality jambalaya very bland, only meat was little micro bits of chicken and no added sourcream as requested which would have probably made the dish slightly more tasteful. Side of bread was good.

Jambalaya was all rice- a few chunks of pork and some tiny, tiny pieces of chicken. Other than that it was all rice.

Jean Lafitte didn't have that cajun flavor. It was spicy, which I like, but absolutely no flavor. My GF had the Nola Nachos and they were disappointing also.

Service was rude and made us feel like we were bothering her.

I'm from the south and live a few hours from New Orleans, so maybe I'm spoiled. Still, I expected way better than what I got. Smh

10/10 do NOT recommend!

Myself and my husband stopped in because the website looked really appealing. Man was we wrong the guy working was friendly but forgot one of my husbands meals. Then we start eating and the flavors are just not there! Food is really bland and not FRESH AT ALL. THE FOOD WAS NOT UP TO TEMPERATURE. To have paid 32. Dollars it was not worth it.

Came for the Nola nachos & cornbread, with a wide variety of selections for all Cajun connoisseurs. They even have vegan options. Now go show this play some love and try something new

Worst J gumbos location in Cincy. Go to Clifton for good food. This place tastes watery and does not serve their bread correctly

The ladies working were very nice! The decor is fun and they place nice music. However, the food was cold and just… not all that great. Good cornbread though!

The employee Samiah presented a very clean establishment and served my food fresh. This was a great experience and service would 10/10 recommend.

We tried J. Gumbo out because it had decent reviews and there aren’t a lot of places that serve this type of food. It turns out it’s a chain and you could tell. The place was extremely dead, but clean at least. All the food is served from a line style, so it isn’t fresh. It was barely warm and was very bland. The entire we were there the one employee working was talking on the phone the entire time. Even while we were ordering. The “queso” was the only decent part of our meal. Which I ended up dumping on mine since it was so dry. The cornbread was also decent, it was sweet. The decor is very cute and inviting. The menu was messy seeming with too many hand written notes. We will not be visiting again. Major let down.

Very pleasant people however the food was at best average. The rice was not seasoned and water soaked. I ask for Gumbo with add shrimp and precooked small shrimp four to be exact was added which she pulled out of refrigerator and toss them on top so I declined. I got the Vodoo chicken and it contained about four small pieces of chicken swimming in sauce. It's safe to say I won't go back again.

I raved about J Gumbos after eating at the Blue Ash location but stopping at the Galbraith next door to Subway I told everyone J Gumbos was way better just to buy a bowl of dry rice. Employee overcharged me for the 6.99 special that started at 11.49 then 9.49 which I paid just to get a bowl of bad rice and no chicken or sausage in their “famous gumbo” and the spoon of sour cream I paid extra for is embarrassing. NGL I’ve worked in this industry and thought I would never complain but this was horrible!
