With their acquisition from a German company in 2017, JAB Holdings, Panera quality has continued to decline. I keep holding out hope each time I revisit, including this store on Montgomery Rd. in Montgomery that somehow this once great wholesome lunch cuisine will improve. However another lunch, another disappointment. The French onion soup was so bland I added 3 packs of salt and two pepper. The food was good. The staff were nice. I just didn't like the set up of the restaurant. Not the normal take a seat, look at menu, give order to the waitress and they deliver the food. Luckily the food was good but probably will be quite a while before returning.

I love the location and the setup of the inside of the restaurant, but the waits are so long now even when you're getting something to go. I had to wait at least 15 minutes for a salad and there was maybe one person ahead of me. They also seem to have trouble juggling online and curbside orders versus people who order inside and are waiting right there.
