“Cafe Mochiko left us thoroughly impressed during our visit from out of town. We dined there twice over a weekend, once for dinner and once for morning pastries, and we were blown away both times. During dinner, we enjoyed a variety of appetizers, including the savory and fragrant Mochi Mochi Panic, Karaage, and Kabocha Raisu, all of which were hits. For the entree, we tried The Ohio from their rotating menu, which featured a rich pork and fish broth with tender sous vide pork and chewy noodles—an absolute delight. On our second visit, we stopped by for pastries on a Sunday. Despite about 15-minutes wait in line, the pastries were well worth it. We tried out a variety of their signature pastries, including the Ube Croissant and Genmaicha Melonpan, all of which were so well-made and delicious.Overall, Cafe Mochiko is an exceptional Asian-inspired bakery and Japanese restaurant. While they don't take reservations and may involve a wait, it's well worth the visit. We are so thrilled to have visited this gem in Cincinnati!“
“We actually found this by looking for high rate Asian close to OTR. How did we not know about this place. Opened about a year ago from the neighbors next door (Lalo), this place is a hidden gem.We ordered the skewers (one each) of the chicken, the chino tacos, the tornado potatoes and the banh mi with cucumber salad. Very plate was delicious. Something we really appreciated were the sauces. My family has been to Vietnam multiple times and that’s something we loved when we were there. This place was a nice fusion with an emphasis on Vietnamese food.Delicious and we will be back for the Pho!“
“This place is special. For our first visit, we selected 5 items from the menu for take out and each of them were very, very good. The only conversation we made for that hour was about the food itself. We were elated. Thoughtfully and carefully conceived and prepared, this food was a delightful experience.Do you know how sometimes a bite is so good that it will cause you to pause from chewing any further until the quiet ahhh and mmmm you involuntarily uttered have passed and with another bite comes the realization some manner of stress has left you? Thankfully, dining encounters like these are on par with some spiritual and sensual encounters fleeting as they may sometimes be. We will return with the hope that Kiki might give us this again.“
“Attended a birthday celebration. Wasn't sure what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is great. Yakatori isn't a large restaurant, and I believe this is the reason the staff is so attentive. The double hibachi was the special for the day. I ordered the special with chicken, shrimp, vegetables, and fried rice. All the items were seasoned, tasted good, and the portion sizes were worth the price. Reservations are not taken. Because of their size, if you have a party greater than 6 people, you will not be seated at the same table. Other than that, I enjoyed my meal, and I will be back. Thank you to all the staff. Keep up your great work.“
“The Seafood Ramen and Curry Rice are my favorites. The takoyaki is very good too! The dishes are packed with flavor. I'd eat here every day if I could. The portions are generous and the price is on point for the size and quality of the meals. I recently got take out and it was just as nice as in the restaurant. I'm new to this area but Osaka is already a favorite of mine.“
“First time eating here, will definitely return. Server was amazing! Great personality, quick, and on top of everything. Food was delicious. Appetizers came out quick and hot. Great show watching them on the hibachi. Not busy for a Sunday afternoon. Definitely worth a visit!“
“Environment is good. Waited 30mins to get a table on Friday night. Suggest reservation before going.Food is okay. Miso soup, yakitori and unaju flavor too strong. Urchin doesn’t taste fresh? My bf ordered tonkatsu and it tasted very good.“
“The food was delicious. The temperature was freezing. There was a vent blowing cold air right on the table full blast. After awhile we did say something to the server. She said she would ask about turning it down but it never happened. We hurried to eat, didn't get dessert, and left quickly strictly due to the temperature being so cold. (We were even dressed in suits from church so it wasn't about our clothing choices.). Disappointing because we loved our food.“
“Nikki was my server and she was friendly. She recommended us the couples flight which we did. It did take about 30 minutes or more until we got our meat to cook when we were on a time crunch. The table next to us was extremely loud so I was unable to have a conversation with my date. Food was a large amount for fair pricing. We will go back but will ask to be in a more secluded table towards the front.“
“Stopped in at around 4 on Sunday, we were immediately greeted and given a seat. I’d never had ramen before, the server was extremely helpful in giving suggestions on what to try. Not only this, but she gave great attention to detail and was very attentive. The food was excellent, but the service we received really made the experience. I recommend anyone to stop and give this place a try. You won’t regret it.“
“Really great ambiance inside, friendly staff, super fast service for pick-up orders, awesome tasty food for a great price! The Philadelphia roll is amazing!Parking: Few spots right in front of the storefront and then plenty more throughout the shopping center parking lot.“
“My fiancé and I have been meaning to come in and try Hibachi Express and we are so glad we did! When we came in, the workers were super friendly. The chef who called our number took such care on the food we got and even took the time to wipe our boxes so we didn’t get our hands messy. We were super pleased with the customer service and were just as pleased with the food. They have the BEST crab rangoons. Best place for hibachi around and we will gladly be incorporating Hibachi Express into our restaurant rotation.“
“I've been going to YiHi Japan in the Eastgate Mall since I was a little kid. I live further away now but still think about it from time to time. A recent review was very negative and accused this place of having changed management/teriyaki sauces/recipes and being very gross now. This scathing review had me questioning if my old favorite restaurant really was falling apart. I haven't been in at least two years and knew I had to see for myself!I just went and picked up my usual chicken teriyaki. The wait was much quicker than I expected and the workers were very kind. The food is delicious and tastes just as I remember it tasting! So no, they have not changed their teriyaki sauces/recipes, and if they have changed managers or have new staff, I certainly can't see any negative difference!I don't know what that other lady ate, but it must not have actually been from this YiHi Japan! Maybe one of the restaurants nextdoor, but the teriyaki sauce is not different. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Don't let the Karens or the fact that it's in a mall turn you off. It's fantastic.“
“A fun night out and a great way to try lots of different sushi. Each plate only has a few pieces which allows you to find ones you really like and also order more via the train. They have a few non sushi options to satisfy people who don’t like it but still want to go.“
