“I've been going here for years. I go there for the best tasting, best prepared food I've ever had. When I'm close to Anderson I stock up on their food. Their lunch menu is one of the best deals you can get.“

“Sichuan Place is a fantastic spot for authentic Chinese cuisine with flavors tailored to your spice preference. Whether you love bold, fiery heat or prefer something milder, they’ve got you covered. The Red Dry Chili Chicken is a standout, and the Sweet and Sour Pork ribs are children's favorite. Pepper Beef is always my favorite. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring your meal suits your taste. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Sichuan flavors!“

“The owner is such a kind woman! Please, community of Delhi and all over do continue to support such a generous business owner, mother, restaurant and community member with her restaurant growth and existence. I was blessed to formally meet her this evening. She had a beautiful story to tell and I just pray the community continues to eat there and pay it forward for people's children to be able to eat in uncertain times. My daughter was fed tonight and we are grateful and thankful for that. God bless you, your restaurant and family. The food was AMAZINGLY GOOD!♥️🙏🏽“

“The most authentic Sichuan cuisine in the city, as far as I know. Delicious non-Sichuan, believe it or not their Fried Rice is exceptional, and everything else is very good. Can’t recommend enough. We eat here regularly, and pass maybe 15 other Chinese restaurants on the way“

“Grand Oriental Chinese Restaurant— BaldWhiteGuyReviews 🧑🦲🍜 Time flies, kids forget passports, and dads get a rare day off — which I immediately spent doing what any responsible parent would do: drag my son to a new restaurant and then reward him with lunch. 😅 He forgot his passport (top secret co-op stuff, apparently), so we met halfway-ish and let Yelp play help find a new place to try. That’s how we found Grand Oriental — a big, festive palace of American-Chinese comfort food and decorative bravado Grand Oriental 📍4800 Fields Ertel Rd, Cincinnati. Parking & Entrance Parking: angled, on a slight hill, and perfect for anyone who enjoys a little cardio while exiting their car. If you have equilibrium issues, bring a friend or a very dramatic cane. Walk the red carpet like you’re famous (or at least like you once were #Santa in the Christmas Program) and step into a dining room that screams “special occasion” louder than your drunk uncle at a wedding. 🎉✨ #WeSeeYou Decorations Huge space, lots of lanterns, and more faux-oriental flair than a Netflix period drama on a budget. The place looks like someone told Pinterest to go wild and then hired a very enthusiastic intern to execute it. If prom and homecoming had a love child, this would be the reception venue. Very Instagrammable — bring a filter and a dramatic pose. 📸🪩 They even have a golden throne #Seriously. The Wet Live Well They’ve got a big wet live well — yes, an actual aquarium of potential dinner guests. Do I think they fish out a crab and whisper “you’re up” before tossing him into a wok? Some call it fresh; others call it barbaric reality TV for crustaceans. Either way, the seafood looks like it just finished updating its LinkedIn. 🦀🐟😬 #FearFactor Bathroom Report Bathroom: shockingly clean and tastefully decorated. If the restroom is this tidy, you know the kitchen isn’t hiding any skeletons — just maybe a very well-behaved crab. 🚽✨ What We Ate 🍜 * Appetizer: Crab Rangoon — $6.99 Warm, creamy, and dangerously addictive. Came with two mystery sauces: one was sweet (dessert-adjacent and delightful), the other had a wasabi vibe that made my face do a small, respectful salute. I’m still not sure if the second sauce was wasabi or a tiny jar of regret, but it worked. 😋🔥 It was a surprise, no mention of sauces on the menu. (That I could find anyway). * Half-ling’s Meal: Sweet & Sour Chicken with Fried Rice — $11.99 Predictable in the best way. Comfort food for people who like their food to behave itself. The fried rice, however, was quietly excellent — the unsung hero of the table. 🍚👍 * My Choice: Hunan Beef with Fried Rice — $12.99 Hunan Beef is my yardstick. This one had a pleasant kick that made my nose run like it had opinions. Local Hunan still wins my heart #DragonInn, but this one is a solid contender. 🥩🌶️ Total Lunch Damage: $34.46 (waters included, because hydration is free and important) 💸 Final Thoughts (and the part where I pretend to be impartial) The Grand Oriental is a great spot for a special lunch or to impress guests who like their ambiance with a side of theatrical lighting. Staff were friendly and fast — service points for speed and smiles. Food was solid, comforting, and exactly what you expect from a good American-Chinese joint: familiar, warm, and occasionally surprising (looking at you, mystery sauce). #HotHot Final Score: 3 out of 5 Bald Heads 🧑🦲🧑🦲🧑🦲 Why I docked two Bald Heads: * Minus one for predictably (Boring) American-Chinese flavors — tasty, but not revolutionary. * Minus one for price — lunch felt a tad steep. Maybe you’re paying extra for the live well’s real estate and the decorative chandelier that’s clearly on a #FingerHut payment plan. 🧾💡#CheapOldMan Would I go back? Sure — for a special night, a prom afterparty, or if my son forgets something else important. Would I drive across town just for their Hunan? Not this time. 👎 Have you been here? “Ahhhh the Chinese Imperial Inn... Where do I even start with you? The portion sizes, the chill vibes, the kind family running the show... Coming here, I understand that running a restaurant isn't just about the food. It's about the community you foster around it. Entering my final year of school, I know that when I eventually leave this city, I will remember this restaurant as the family I never had...“

“My fiancé swears by Lulu's. She grew up in Glendale and the food is just as good as it's always been for her. We met and lived in NYC for 10 years before she brought me back to Ohio. I started working just around the corner from Lulu's and now I'm bring it home a few times a month so she can get that taste of nostalgia. Doesn't hurt that the food is comparable to NYC's Chinatown. Highly recommend.“

“Went for my first time tonight, very happy. Lady who fixed my order was very kind and patient as I got myself together after braving the cold weather, and trying find my glasses, haha. I got noodles, sesame chicken, and coconut shrimp. All of it was hot and tasted good. Menu seems like tradition Chinese-American restaurant favorites, and is very reasonably priced for the portions. I got enough food for 2 dinners, and spent less, before tip, than I do at most places for 1 meal. The dining area was very clean and cozy. Overall, I'm very glad I stopped in and will be back!“

“I got carryout. Food and service was great. Directions to get there were terrible. Once I got there I felt it was easier to find if I went a different way. My phone map had me go thru a subdivision instead of over Winton Road. Good thing I knew a little bit about the area.“

“Very nice Chinese people. Great service nice to me every time. This is the only Chinese restaurant in Cincinnati that treat all colors equally. They don't talk bad to you, they willing to help you if order is messed up. They actually place your money in your hand while other Chinese restaurant sit the money down or drop it in your hands. I even see them washing their hands and then putting on gloves after washing their hands“

“This is a classic family-run Chinese restaurant. It is primarily for take-out, as accommodations for dining in are rather sparse, and their website does not show an option for delivery... but everything that I have ordered there has been good - I particularly enjoy their hot and sour soup.“

“Unbelievably tasty and consistent. I've been coming here for nearly 30 years and the new family that took it over some years ago does an even better job than the previous family.
It's always hot fresh and consistent every time I come it's about the only place I'll even eat on colerain avenue to be honest.
Kung Pao chicken and spring roll we're absolutely perfect I can't wait to come back. Thank you guys for your consistency and very tasty Chinese food.“

“Some of the friendliest people run this store. No matter how busy, they are patient and greet you with a smile. I order quite often and love their General Tso chicken and fried rice. I can't do too much spiciness and they always work with me to make it sweet instead. They're super quick and always bring the same great Quality.
A truly lovely place!“

“Not all Chinese restaurants are the same. And each one has its specialities. This one does a very good job in what they specialize, which is Guangdong/Shanghai style dish. What that means is that their speciality is not Sichuanese. So if you go there, you should order Guangdong/Shanghai food not Sichuanese. They do a phenomenal job with that dish.
You should get:
- Shanghai Style Eggplants
- Moo Goo Gai
- Sizzling Seafood Combination
(Any seafood menu was good from my experience)
These are not the best:
- Mapa Tofu or Double Cooked Pork (they are Sichuanese dish)“

“Great reliable low key restaurant easy to get to in a central location.
Free and ample sized dedicated parking lot.
Full bar with specialty old school tasty tropical drinks reasonably priced. Especially recommend the Zombie.
Extensive menu of popular Chinese rice and noodle dishes and some non Chinese Asian options. Great value lunch menu . Love the dumplings, kung pao pork and singapore noodles
Have tried many selections for decades and have not been let down. Always good portions, fresh, and not too oily.
Family run business with attentive service which is refreshing these days.
Also appreciate that conversation at a normal tone is the rule- wonderful not to have to speak loudly to adjacent or across the table dining companions.
Restaurant also has a busy carry out option, but we prefer to unwind amid the friendly casual relaxing ambiance. We never leave hungry and look forward to many return trips ahead!“

“If you’re looking for the best Chinese takeout around, China Wok on Pleasant Avenue in Fairfield is it. Every time we order, the food arrives piping hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. You can really tell they care about quality.
We ordered the crab rangoon, hot & sour soup, egg drop soup, chicken lo mein, and General Tso’s chicken — and everything was outstanding. The rangoon was crispy and creamy, the soups were full of flavor, and the entrees were perfectly seasoned with generous portions. Nothing tastes bland or thrown together — it tastes like it was made with pride.
On top of amazing food, it feels great knowing we’re supporting a local, family-run business. Friendly people, fast service, and consistently great meals — China Wok has definitely become our go-to spot. Highly recommend!“

“I’ve had my fair share of “Chinese” food in the US and this House Lunch Special is probably one of the few that comes close to being authentic Chinese fried rice.
Now, this was also had some American influence but the addition of a specific kind of beef and green vegetables reminded me of the true fried rice experience like I had in China“

“I took my 2yr old and 7yr old here for lunch and they had a fun time cooking their own food. We got the bento lunch and it was delicious. I recommend the miso broth and spicy chicken. The mushroom broth is very light and tasty too. They keep napkins in a drawer under the front of the table which was very helpful with kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My son was fascinated by the robot server. We will definitely be back soon. One of the best dining experiences we've had in a long long time.“

“Ordered a large carryout for around 20 people on a Friday night and they were easily able to accommodate. Jason was super helpful and even let me know when I had ordered too much food and fixed my order, which turned out to be the proper amount. He even threw in some Crab Rangoon on the house. I'll add this place to our usual rotation when I need to feed the staff. 👍“

“From the moment we made our reservation, we were treated to a hospitality and warmth sorely lacking in today's world. While we went at noon, the music and decor were as relaxing as an evening or even late- night event. Our server Simeon was professional and committed to make our meal a memorable one. At our request, he described different dishes, telling us what he recommended and what to expect. He was attentive without hovering. The food was as outstanding as was the service. While the shrimp toast appetizer, Wong's chicken, and Clay pot were delicious, beautifully prepared, we were overwhelmed by the presentation, taste, and experience of the coconut bread pudding with rum sauce. We will go again soon..“
