“I've been going here for years. I go there for the best tasting, best prepared food I've ever had. When I'm close to Anderson I stock up on their food. Their lunch menu is one of the best deals you can get.“

“Sichuan Place is a fantastic spot for authentic Chinese cuisine with flavors tailored to your spice preference. Whether you love bold, fiery heat or prefer something milder, they’ve got you covered. The Red Dry Chili Chicken is a standout, and the Sweet and Sour Pork ribs are children's favorite. Pepper Beef is always my favorite. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring your meal suits your taste. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Sichuan flavors!“

“The owner is such a kind woman! Please, community of Delhi and all over do continue to support such a generous business owner, mother, restaurant and community member with her restaurant growth and existence. I was blessed to formally meet her this evening. She had a beautiful story to tell and I just pray the community continues to eat there and pay it forward for people's children to be able to eat in uncertain times. My daughter was fed tonight and we are grateful and thankful for that. God bless you, your restaurant and family. The food was AMAZINGLY GOOD!♥️🙏🏽“

“This is the best Chinese restaurant I've been to in the US. I haven't spent too much time in NYC, so I cannot compare to those, but I spent many years in SF and LA and have not had better than Sichuan Chili.
I no longer live in Cincinnati, unfortunately, but I am in town maybe one week per year and make it a point to visit Sichuan Chili multiple times. I will even freeze it and bring it home to Texas, where the Chinese food by me is mediocre at best.
We have several go-tos (not in any particular order):
Mapo tofu - lots of heat, but great flavor. Big and bold.
Hot pepper chicken - this stir fried dish of jalapenos and chicken is excellent. There are times the head is overwhelming, but it also is loaded with flavor. It is not just a spice bomb.
Hot and sour soup - my kids like all hot and sour soup, but I am yet to find one as good as the one from Sichuan Chili. It is very black peppery, but in a good way. It tastes different than any other hot and sour soup I've eaten.
Chinese style kung pao - this is different than regular kung pao - lots of ginger, different vegetables than the US version. I am a huge fan.
Green beans - these are excellent. Smoky, flavorful. My middle loves szechuan green beans and these are extremely good.
Eggplant in garlic sauce - this isn't necessarily better than most Chinese places, but it's good. They have 2-3 versions of egg plant.
Salt and pepper shrimp - vinegary and tangy. They come skin and tail on, but the deep fry makes them easy to eat whole.
The above are our normal go-tos. We've tried several other things over the years. Some have been hits. Some have been misses. The only thing I've eaten there that was truly bad were the salt and pepper ribs. Hard to describe why, but it was a total fail.
I assume many of the other reviews mention this, but there is an authentic menu and an American menu. We normally eat off the authentic, but the lunch specials are all off the American menu and I've tried a few. Even the American menu food is better than most Chinese restaurants.“

“Grand Oriental Chinese Restaurant— BaldWhiteGuyReviews 🧑🦲🍜 Time flies, kids forget passports, and dads get a rare day off — which I immediately spent doing what any responsible parent would do: drag my son to a new restaurant and then reward him with lunch. 😅 He forgot his passport (top secret co-op stuff, apparently), so we met halfway-ish and let Yelp play help find a new place to try. That’s how we found Grand Oriental — a big, festive palace of American-Chinese comfort food and decorative bravado Grand Oriental 📍4800 Fields Ertel Rd, Cincinnati. Parking & Entrance Parking: angled, on a slight hill, and perfect for anyone who enjoys a little cardio while exiting their car. If you have equilibrium issues, bring a friend or a very dramatic cane. Walk the red carpet like you’re famous (or at least like you once were #Santa in the Christmas Program) and step into a dining room that screams “special occasion” louder than your drunk uncle at a wedding. 🎉✨ #WeSeeYou Decorations Huge space, lots of lanterns, and more faux-oriental flair than a Netflix period drama on a budget. The place looks like someone told Pinterest to go wild and then hired a very enthusiastic intern to execute it. If prom and homecoming had a love child, this would be the reception venue. Very Instagrammable — bring a filter and a dramatic pose. 📸🪩 They even have a golden throne #Seriously. The Wet Live Well They’ve got a big wet live well — yes, an actual aquarium of potential dinner guests. Do I think they fish out a crab and whisper “you’re up” before tossing him into a wok? Some call it fresh; others call it barbaric reality TV for crustaceans. Either way, the seafood looks like it just finished updating its LinkedIn. 🦀🐟😬 #FearFactor Bathroom Report Bathroom: shockingly clean and tastefully decorated. If the restroom is this tidy, you know the kitchen isn’t hiding any skeletons — just maybe a very well-behaved crab. 🚽✨ What We Ate 🍜 * Appetizer: Crab Rangoon — $6.99 Warm, creamy, and dangerously addictive. Came with two mystery sauces: one was sweet (dessert-adjacent and delightful), the other had a wasabi vibe that made my face do a small, respectful salute. I’m still not sure if the second sauce was wasabi or a tiny jar of regret, but it worked. 😋🔥 It was a surprise, no mention of sauces on the menu. (That I could find anyway). * Half-ling’s Meal: Sweet & Sour Chicken with Fried Rice — $11.99 Predictable in the best way. Comfort food for people who like their food to behave itself. The fried rice, however, was quietly excellent — the unsung hero of the table. 🍚👍 * My Choice: Hunan Beef with Fried Rice — $12.99 Hunan Beef is my yardstick. This one had a pleasant kick that made my nose run like it had opinions. Local Hunan still wins my heart #DragonInn, but this one is a solid contender. 🥩🌶️ Total Lunch Damage: $34.46 (waters included, because hydration is free and important) 💸 Final Thoughts (and the part where I pretend to be impartial) The Grand Oriental is a great spot for a special lunch or to impress guests who like their ambiance with a side of theatrical lighting. Staff were friendly and fast — service points for speed and smiles. Food was solid, comforting, and exactly what you expect from a good American-Chinese joint: familiar, warm, and occasionally surprising (looking at you, mystery sauce). #HotHot Final Score: 3 out of 5 Bald Heads 🧑🦲🧑🦲🧑🦲 Why I docked two Bald Heads: * Minus one for predictably (Boring) American-Chinese flavors — tasty, but not revolutionary. * Minus one for price — lunch felt a tad steep. Maybe you’re paying extra for the live well’s real estate and the decorative chandelier that’s clearly on a #FingerHut payment plan. 🧾💡#CheapOldMan Would I go back? Sure — for a special night, a prom afterparty, or if my son forgets something else important. Would I drive across town just for their Hunan? Not this time. 👎 Have you been here? “My fiancé swears by Lulu's. She grew up in Glendale and the food is just as good as it's always been for her. We met and lived in NYC for 10 years before she brought me back to Ohio. I started working just around the corner from Lulu's and now I'm bring it home a few times a month so she can get that taste of nostalgia. Doesn't hurt that the food is comparable to NYC's Chinatown. Highly recommend.“

“Went for my first time tonight, very happy. Lady who fixed my order was very kind and patient as I got myself together after braving the cold weather, and trying find my glasses, haha. I got noodles, sesame chicken, and coconut shrimp. All of it was hot and tasted good. Menu seems like tradition Chinese-American restaurant favorites, and is very reasonably priced for the portions. I got enough food for 2 dinners, and spent less, before tip, than I do at most places for 1 meal. The dining area was very clean and cozy. Overall, I'm very glad I stopped in and will be back!“

“I got carryout. Food and service was great. Directions to get there were terrible. Once I got there I felt it was easier to find if I went a different way. My phone map had me go thru a subdivision instead of over Winton Road. Good thing I knew a little bit about the area.“

“Kevin Ling was our server a few weeks ago and I still haven’t stopped thinking about his kindness and the yummy food. Kevin will tell you all about his hometown in China, so don’t be afraid to ask :)“

“I ordered from this place for the first time. I had the Sweet and sour chicken. Price was OK because of the small size they gave me. But it was the worst sweet and sour chicken I have ever got from a Chinese restaurant. The coated chicken had all dough and hardly any chicken. And on top of that they don't give enough rice , very small serving. I know that most of the Chinese restaurants around the USA buy the chicken already dipped in breading, so I not sure where they get there little chicks from!!“

“This is a classic family-run Chinese restaurant. It is primarily for take-out, as accommodations for dining in are rather sparse, and their website does not show an option for delivery... but everything that I have ordered there has been good - I particularly enjoy their hot and sour soup.“

“Unbelievably tasty and consistent. I've been coming here for nearly 30 years and the new family that took it over some years ago does an even better job than the previous family.
It's always hot fresh and consistent every time I come it's about the only place I'll even eat on colerain avenue to be honest.
Kung Pao chicken and spring roll we're absolutely perfect I can't wait to come back. Thank you guys for your consistency and very tasty Chinese food.“

“Not all Chinese restaurants are the same. And each one has its specialities. This one does a very good job in what they specialize, which is Guangdong/Shanghai style dish. What that means is that their speciality is not Sichuanese. So if you go there, you should order Guangdong/Shanghai food not Sichuanese. They do a phenomenal job with that dish.
You should get:
- Shanghai Style Eggplants
- Moo Goo Gai
- Sizzling Seafood Combination
(Any seafood menu was good from my experience)
These are not the best:
- Mapa Tofu or Double Cooked Pork (they are Sichuanese dish)“

“I honestly love the food at this place. This may be one of the best Chinese Cuisine spots in Cincinnati. Their Lo Mein and Rice has always been cooked perfectly and they didnt skimp out on the meat. I have noticed the quality of alot of Chinese restaurants have gone downhill over the years but this place fills the gap. Prices have gone up on all Chinese food but this place actually can justify theirs.“

“We got the orange chicken and fried rice sesame seed chicken with a fried rice pretty good the only reason they got four out of five the rice was a little under season wasn't a fan of the egg rolls but there's still time to try other ones they have but overall it's still a solid place to get something to eat“

“I took my 2yr old and 7yr old here for lunch and they had a fun time cooking their own food. We got the bento lunch and it was delicious. I recommend the miso broth and spicy chicken. The mushroom broth is very light and tasty too. They keep napkins in a drawer under the front of the table which was very helpful with kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My son was fascinated by the robot server. We will definitely be back soon. One of the best dining experiences we've had in a long long time.“

“If you’re looking for the best Chinese takeout around, China Wok on Pleasant Avenue in Fairfield is it. Every time we order, the food arrives piping hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. You can really tell they care about quality.
We ordered the crab rangoon, hot & sour soup, egg drop soup, chicken lo mein, and General Tso’s chicken — and everything was outstanding. The rangoon was crispy and creamy, the soups were full of flavor, and the entrees were perfectly seasoned with generous portions. Nothing tastes bland or thrown together — it tastes like it was made with pride.
On top of amazing food, it feels great knowing we’re supporting a local, family-run business. Friendly people, fast service, and consistently great meals — China Wok has definitely become our go-to spot. Highly recommend!“

“Ordered a large carryout for around 20 people on a Friday night and they were easily able to accommodate. Jason was super helpful and even let me know when I had ordered too much food and fixed my order, which turned out to be the proper amount. He even threw in some Crab Rangoon on the house. I'll add this place to our usual rotation when I need to feed the staff. 👍“

“I have to say, I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants over the years, but I’ve never been treated as well as I was today. The gentleman up front taking orders was incredibly kind—he kept bringing me little bites to enjoy while I waited for my food. We had a wonderful conversation about everything from DoorDash drivers stealing orders to all sorts of other topics.
To top it off, the food was absolutely fantastic. I ordered the curry chicken, and oh my goodness, it was incredible. I’m heading straight back there after work tonight to try something else—I can’t wait!“

“We were looking for recommendations for lunch after we went to the zoo. We had delivery from this place probably 5 years ago and it was so good. I recommend anyone taking a trip to the zoo to check out Ninja grill afterwards for lunch!“

“From the moment we made our reservation, we were treated to a hospitality and warmth sorely lacking in today's world. While we went at noon, the music and decor were as relaxing as an evening or even late- night event. Our server Simeon was professional and committed to make our meal a memorable one. At our request, he described different dishes, telling us what he recommended and what to expect. He was attentive without hovering. The food was as outstanding as was the service. While the shrimp toast appetizer, Wong's chicken, and Clay pot were delicious, beautifully prepared, we were overwhelmed by the presentation, taste, and experience of the coconut bread pudding with rum sauce. We will go again soon..“
