“Asian spice is hands-down my favorite spot in the city! The Thai food here is just wonderful…and I’ve had a lot of Thai food lol. I drive around all day and I will literally wait to eat until I’m on this side of town because nothing is better than their Crispy Garlic Chicken. I once had a hangover and my bestie, good human, drove all the way from Norwood just to get my favorite Wonton and Tom Kha Gai Soups. And the service is amazing, super warm and friendly. If I had to choose one place in the city to introduce my friends and family to, Asian Spice…every time ❤️“

“Hands down, my favorite restaurant. Everything is gluten free, and if it’s not fresh, I don’t know the difference. I love the texture of the noodles, and the variety of hot/cold add-ins. The salmon is my favorite protein, but I’ve had them all and none have been disappointing. It’s also one of the few places that I will pay for a drink, because of all of the lemonade and tea options. They even have a fountain selection for plain soda water, so you can mix up all sorts of concoctions.
Seating is tight during peak times, especially when it’s too cold for the outside dining area.
And don’t forget your complimentary cup of miso soup!“

“Went for my first time tonight, very happy. Lady who fixed my order was very kind and patient as I got myself together after braving the cold weather, and trying find my glasses, haha. I got noodles, sesame chicken, and coconut shrimp. All of it was hot and tasted good. Menu seems like tradition Chinese-American restaurant favorites, and is very reasonably priced for the portions. I got enough food for 2 dinners, and spent less, before tip, than I do at most places for 1 meal. The dining area was very clean and cozy. Overall, I'm very glad I stopped in and will be back!“

“My husband and I just found our new Chinese restaurant. We ordered from here for the first time and both of us looked at each other and said, “our new place.” The food is freshly cooked and delicious.“

My boyfriend and I both ordered dishes to share, and we both LOVED the spicy wontons, which neither of us have had before. The spicy wontons were very hot, but we kept eating until they were gone because they were so addictively good --- an 11/10. While I liked the new take on the Pad Thai with thicker noodles and a thinner sauce, my boyfriend was in favor of the more traditional Pad Thai recipe. I had the pleasure of going during restraunt week and had one of best cantonese meals I have ever had. Between the pot stickers and dumplings it is impossible to say which the best thing on the menu was. Brandi absolutely killed it as a waiter and Chef Adam is a master in his field. I cannot recommend Youyu enough!“

“Absolutely amazing experience! This Thai sushi and hibachi restaurant exceeded all my expectations. The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented — every roll was packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. The Thai dishes were authentic, rich, and full of bold spices without being overpowering.

The hibachi show was so entertaining and fun to watch, and the chef cooked everything to perfection. The steak was tender, the shrimp was juicy, and the fried rice was some of the best I’ve ever had.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and perfect for both family dinners and special occasions.

“Ordered from doordash tonight on a whim and wow was I surprised! Can't believe I've never tried them before! I ordered the pan-fried veggie dumplings and the chicken pad thai, and both were so flavorful and delicious! I will definitely be eating here in the future or if time doesn't permit I'll order again through doordash! My order was taken and started almost immediately, and was delivered earlier than the original estimate! very impressed with the prompt service and the quality of the food!“

“I love eating in but we mainly do carryout. This is a “ neighborhood restaurant” for us and we are so very lucky. I haven’t had something I haven’t liked and there are so many menu choices whether lunch or dinner. We tend to do lunch and it’s a very good value- large main course portion and a choice of spring roll or soup. I always do the soup as their soup of the day is usually a clear veggie soup with cilantro and a mild yet complex flavor. It is my fav over spring roll but such a hard choice bc those are also awesome with a clear sweet dipping sauce with a touch of heat. None of that sticky red sauce you often see with appetizers The helpings are two meals for both me and my husband. He used to say “ I don’t like Thai” but that was before trying a dish or two from here and now he’s the one that frequently requests this as the choice. For me this is truly comfort food and what I want instead of chicken soup. It is food for the soul and lovingly prepared. I recommend — well everything but esp the orange chicken and the noodle dishes or the snow pea stir fry or crispy tofu as the protein On and on the recc could be listed but my last recommendation- make the trip it’s worth finding your new ( or old) favorite Thai- all in Monfort Heights.“
