A summer tradition! We come to Cincinnati at least once a year for a ballgame and when we do, wherever we stay, there is a field trip to Putz's. I've had frozen custard in plenty of other places but whether it's the nostalgia or some magic ingredient, none are as good as Putz's.
I took my daughter to Putz’s yesterday. She’s 9. She was so excited to go. Had never been! The young lady taking our order helped her through the ordering process and somehow demonstrated characteristics of warmth, meaningful eye-contact, patience, friendly professionalism and a bunch of other things that I’m working on with my daughter. Good stuff, good service. Never a terrible wait......the staff is pretty efficient. I can see why they have been there forever and a day.Parking: Limited number of spaces and not the greatest of neighborhoods. Not sure about handicap parking, even though the shop and lot are handicap accessible.Kid-friendliness: It's an ice cream shop.
