Ron's Roost Reviews
Our Mom's choice for her 88th Birthday was Ron's Roost. 🥳 Char was hands down the best waitress I've had this year anywhere - personable, professional, & polite! 😊 I only wish I had room for pie.
Last Fall, we had Ron's Roost cater a family wedding celebration at our home. When we picked up the food, it was tediously prepared and organized for transporting. Their service was outstanding! The portions were abundant! Nobody beats their chicken for a large crowd. Everyone raved about it! And we were able to send lots of food home with our guests. I HIGHLY recommend both their restaurant and this take out catering service. They are reasonably priced, a Westside favorite and...read full review
I worked there for six years, and can tell you the food is absolute crap. Canned veggies, instant mashed potatoes, fake gravy, frozen potato pancakes, microwaved fish, unsanitary food practices, unrefrigerated raw meats, no chef, no standards. The fruit pies all came frozen from sysco. The ribs were purchased in bulk so the owners had to install an additional freezer just to store them for YEARS before uneremoniously boiling the crap out of them. Such a crime.

Ron's Roost is a restaurant that has received mixed reviews from its customers. Many praise the restaurant's delicious chicken, describing it as the "best chicken" they've ever had. The service is also noted as great, with one reviewer highlighting a fantastic waitress named Char, who was personable, professional, and polite. The atmosphere is very good, making it a nice place to celebrate special occasions, like birthdays.
The buffet is reported to be very filling and awesome. However, some customers have had less positive experiences, particularly with the prime rib, which is described as not tasting great, but not bad either. Additionally, the patio furniture is criticized as being cheap and flimsy, with too many chairs at each table.
The restaurant offers vegetarian options, with a great selection. Parking is also not an issue, as customers have had no problems finding a place to park, even with large groups. One customer mentioned enjoying the Double Jumbo Burger, noting that it was fantastic, cooked just right, and served on a light fluffy bun.
Overall, the reviews suggest that Ron's Roost excels at its chicken dishes and provides a great dining experience, while also having room for improvement in the quality of its other menu items and the patio seating. The restaurant is run by a sweet 90-year-old lady, who continues to cook the fried chicken herself, adding a personal touch to the dining experience.
