Easily my favorite South Indian restaurant in Cincinnati. The taste is very much what you'd expect from a restaurant in Madras or Madurai. The staff are friendly and they make great Sambar and Vada! I personally love the Kothu Parota. It's just fantastic
Finallyyyyyy!!! South Indian here from NY who has been living in Cincinnati for 4 years. I've been on a quest for proper Indian food in the area that whole time. But time and time again I'm hit with the same base curry that lacks proper flavor, heat, and just isn't Indian food. Ammas kitchen came close with their good dosai and pongal but it is pure veg so the hunt continued! But finally we tried Ruchi Mess and it so soo good. last night was our first time we came to that excellent restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the excellent service, with the superb cooking and booze and with the decent pay. We will no doubt go back there again.
