“I love Indian food but most places around Cincy leave much to be desired. Drove by this place for a couple of years, not thinking much by outside appearance. Decided to stop in for lunch buffet a few weeks ago. Wow! the food is delicious and fresh. Have been back and not disappointed. I live in Colerain. The food is worth the drive.“

“I’ve only ever gotten take out here but the food is fantastic. The Lamb Tikka Marsala, Butter Chicken, and Paneer Naan are great. We usually get 2 orders of different naan and two main dishes for around 50$ but it’s a lot of food. I highly recommend this place.“

“I don’t eat much Indian food, so when trying this place to takeout for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised to be guided by a friendly staff member to choose the best options to try out. I ended up choosing the Karhai Ginger Chicken and some Garlic Nan for my order and it was simply delicious. I haven’t seen another Indian restaurant taste this good. Highly recommend giving this place a try. My wife and I love the Mango Lassis too. Get those whenever you try this place out.“

“I've been eating here for many many years. Best Indian food I can find. I try Indian food all over the country. Nothing compares to how fresh this food is. Cooked to order. Amazing flavor. Authentic. I've seen the kitchen. Its one of the cleanest restaurant kitchens I've ever seen. Family owned and operated. They care about the quality and the experience. 5 stars!!!!“

“Amma’s Kitchen was wonderful. I was so homesick for some home made South Indian food and this place made me feel like I was back home. I loved the atmosphere, the selection of food, and the service very much. The taste was awesome and you can easily tell that Amma’s Kitchen really cares about their customers by the way that the food is fresh and tasty. I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a great Sunday! 🥰🥰“

“Really great Indian food. Some of the best Nan in the city and their rolls are a cool western take on Indian food but keeping true to the flavors. My only advice would be to replace the chips as a side. It's weird with Indian food. A single piece of Nan or a Samosa maybe but chips is odd. Or drop the side all together and I didnt expect anything more than the roll I ordered and the chips were a negative not a plus so cut them. This is critique of a place I love though so if the worst thing they do is give me a side of potato chips when I order a roll I'm still very happy.“

“Been coming here for years and stop by everytime I’m in the city. Wait times are not long and is in an accessible location. The best indian food I’ve ever tried and can’t even replicate it at home. The Paneer Makhani is so full of flavor, creamy, and silky. It’s perfectly balanced and not too overpowering. Perfect bit of savory and spiciness with amazing aromatics. Its a must. The rice is very fluffy with amazing flavor. Never knew plain rice could be so tasty. The garlic naan is amazing quality and a great edition for its price. Comes free during lunch. Best indian food in the country.“

“I keep trying different places around Cincinnati but I have failed to find another as good as Ambar. I just tried another restaurant tonight and once again, while it was very good, Ambar is better. Not sure what’s up with some of the very negative reviews, I guess the Indian restaurant biz is very competitive ;)“

“The food was very tasty during the lunch buffet. We were probably the first group that came at noon on a Wednesday. The food was not very spicy so it was accommodating and everything was fresh. The total cost per person was only $20 after tax + tip for a lunch buffet which is very reasonable.“

“My fiancée and I decided to stop in here on a whim for lunch, and wow are we glad we did. We just found our new favorite spot for Indian food in town. The food was excellent (we both got the buffet), the dining room was clean and had nice decor, and the staff was so kind to us and our one-year-old daughter. I also overheard when another patron came in who was trying Indian food for the first time, and the staff took the time to describe the different items on the buffet for her and provide recommendations, which just struck me as really great customer service. The prices were extremely reasonable too. Overall we had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to come back!“

“This is an Indian restaurant in downtown Cincinnati near UC. It kind of focuses on like Indian street food as opposed to some of the fancier ones with the big menus and fancier dishes. There was a lot of good here as the restaurant looked very nice and the staff did a mostly good job (it took a while for them to cook the food but unless it's ridiculously long I don't complain about that and won't here either.) I went with my favourite Indian which is Lamb Vindaloo which is chunks of lamb (or whatever other meat you prefer) with a tomato based sauce with lot's of spices. I got mine a 4 out of spicy instead of my normal 5 because I had never been to this restaurant and didn't know how much they would spice it. I could have definitely gotten the 5 as the 4 wasn't all that spicy. It had some pretty good flavour and the lamb was cooked perfectly and was in pretty good sized pieces. Their naan was quite good as well which is vitally important at an Indian restaurant to soak up all of those sauces. I probably should have tried their street food which is their specialty but there will be a day for that. What I had was good but not great Indian food. When I come back and try the street food dishes I will reevaluate. I'd rate this about 6.5 out of 10.“

“Jot India was excellent! The restaurant was clean. And surprisingly, empty. Manpreet was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly and got our orders perfect. Since we are Indians, he said he'd ask the chef to spice it up to our levels and they absolutely did not disappoint.
We had the chicken dippers, chili chicken and malai kofta with alloo and kashmiri naan. The dippers were surprisingly good, since it was for our picky toddler who likes chicken nuggets and can't handle spice. The chili chicken and malai kofta were excellent. The malai kofta was surprising. I'm used to the kofta not having a batter around it but this one did, and it added a nice texture. Their mango lassi was also excellent. Definitely one of the best Indian food places we've been to in Cincinnati!!“
