“Prepare to polka your pants off. The HBH from my town in Florida closed during covid and it was not known for good food. This was the best HBH or even german food experience ive ever had. Also my wifes first time to das Haus. Great success! The service and management were awesome, friendly and great to talk to. Beer flowed... Like beer. If you like german beer you have lots of options on tap all the HB beer is delicious. As for food, I recommend everything but we loved the potato pancakes, kraut balls, cheese pierogis, pretzels and must get the beer cheese, and sausage tower was amazing. The jagerschnitzel looks amazing but did not have room to order will try next trip! Du... Hast to come bye. Seeya lederhosen HBH!“
“In defense of Plum, most of the negative reviews come from "basic" people who can't fathom paying slightly more for so-called "off brands" only because they "never heard of them" and rationalize their refusal to try anything new because they still act like they're in high school and have not really lived due to having a tourist mindset. The place is not meant to buy your week's groceries but really is more of a specialty store where you can treat yourself to something nice once in a while because you work like crazy and need a little more variety in your life. If you really need cheap groceries that badly, order from Aldi using Instacart and have them delivered.“
“Was very busy when we went but we didn’t mind the waiting for the food. The German Black Forest dessert was rather off being warm but after being chill was a great dessert. Parking is not easy but the brewery has free valet behind the building. I definitely will be back“
“We are not from this area so just took a chance and so glad we did. Our waiter was very pleasant. The food was great. Brussel sprouts are a meal in itself. Wings and burgers are good also. We actually both ended up taking 1/2 of our lunch home. I will definitely go back if I get in this area “
“This is a brewery that I wish I lived closer to. It has all the things I love - a big, quiet outdoor area with large trees, plenty of seating, and some fun Halloween decor; a historic building with multiple rooms for different size groups with decor that is fun, engaging and historical; and great beer too! I especially loved the French Toast Phantom that I ordered this week. Service is friendly and helpful here. It's an easy walk from W 25th in Ohio City, so if you're exploring that strip, check this place out too.“
