I just paid $14 for the smallest sandwich of my life. Super low quality meat that was tough at the edges. I was hoping for something that even remotely resembled a proper deli sandwich but this was the equivalent of something you throw together with whatever you can scrounge from your fridge for a sack lunch when you’re running late.

After getting coffee at the index cafe I decided to come in to get halal food. The service was alright but this has to be the worst kafta I had, and the rice wasn't much better (tasted like boxed pilaf). It's very thin and the taste sort of misses the mark. I'm not sure if that's just Lebanese style but either way I wouldn't recommend getting it, especially for $20, and for having a salad with a base of iceburg lettuce.

We've ordered the shish taouk on many occasions and always tell them to put extra taouk sauce in the sandwich: they have never once put extra sauce in the sandwich. The same today, very little sauce, chicken pieces are huge, dry and a challenge to eat. Today was the last time we will ever stop at Nate's
