Put them on good food, but taking IDs. Resulted in the worst dining experience I’ve had in a while. While the chicken bacon ranch flatbread was phenomenal. The service took too long, even though she was very nice and the IDs were taken. A middle-aged man with a beard in a staff T-shirt red was the brood part of the experience I will not be coming back unless my ID will not be taken. I’m a 35-year-old man that looks distinctly 35 and they took my ID and said I was 17. I think that’s all I need to say.

I had a decent experience all the other times I have been here, been here 3 seperate times and this my 4th time. This time it was terrible. We were waiting +5 minutes for our waiter to show up. Then waited another +10-15 minutes for them to come back to ask for our orders. My friend denied the side salad and was offered extra bread. We waited 20-30 minutes for the main entree to come out. I got the lentils as an app, and it was the most bland food I ever had. I eat lentils on a weekly basis as Dahl, I don’t expect the same exact flavor profile but these lentils were just cooked in plain tap water, no salt or any other seasoning. I do want to add that the waiter didn’t bring or offer us salt, pepper, or cheese for our main entrees.

Had a very pleasurable meal on the side patio (alley). Great service, wonderful flavors and reasonably priced. There are places that are busier but this was a low-key meal in a nice atmosphere.

Don't go here for drinks, they over charged for drinks. 40.00 for a old fashioned and the server didn't even know how make it. then they over charged my credit card on top of it.

My husband and I stopped in for a few drinks after having lunch next door and I’m so glad we did! G is the BEST! She was so sweet and made us feel like old friends. The entire staff was incredibly personable. We’re still new to Cleveland, as we’ve only been living here for a year (in August), and TOLI felt like home to us. Can’t wait to visit again and try the food!! We didn’t realize it until it was time to leave, but their deep fried meatball was the first meal a local recommended for us to try. We’ll be back very soon! Thank you Gianna and friends!

We made reservations about 2 months in advance for a family gathering to celebrate Father’s Day and a birthday. Our reservation was for 6pm and at 8pm we still did not have our food. When we approached the manager, another patron was also expressing the same issue and ended up leaving as well. The manager offered a gift card but we declined as we live almost an hour away. We had 3 children with us that were starving and we never ended up getting our food and left. If your staff is short handed, I get it and understand, but 2 hours of waiting is inexcusable. Perhaps you shouldn’t be open if you can’t accommodate your guests. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you want to sit at the bar and grab a drink and unfortunately we will not be coming back. Very disappointed as the vibe is great and the patio area is lovely.

I have to hype this place. I’m from eastern europe and picky, first of all. This is my favorite restaurant in Cleveland and feel it’s underrated. 1. The service is always kind 2. The food is incredible. The appetizers, calzones, flatbreads and main courses are all delicious and I’ve tried almost everything. I’ve been to almost every other Italian restaurant in little italy and while they are pretty good and charming, the food is not exceptional enough to justify the prices. The apps at TOLI are well portioned and mouth watering. The arancini rice balls and calamari are out of this world. I emphasize, I’m a calamari snob. I wanna see legs, I want to know they’re real and balanced between crispy batter and a non-chewy fresh from the sea taste. I’ve had calamari recently in Pittsburgh, San diego, Miami, the Carribbean (for crying out loud), Aruba and elsewhere in Cleveland and I’m telling you, TOLI’s is the best, by a LONG SHOT. Where the hell is everyone else getting fake squid, who knows. The salads are absolutley delicious and well balanced. Then, my favorite item, the mussels. Whatever I said about the calamari, same for their mussels. They are never, ever, dirty tasting and the white wine garlic sauce they’re in….well, I get real un-lady-like and slurp it like a soup when I’m done. I don’t know who is back there making those mollusks taste like sea candy but the deserve and award. The only thing I haven’t been blown away by is maybe the pasta but to be fair, I really don’t like pasta much…it was alfredo and very, very good (with yummy grilled chicken) just not my favorite. I gotta search for criticism for this place…but I struggle to gather it. 10/10 hands down all around. Did I mention it’s very affordable?

Service was absolutely upsetting. From out of town and don’t know if I’ll add this to the list of go backs. Took forever for us to get drinks- then took forever for us to actually order food. Server never came back to ask us about how our food was. Never asked if we wanted another drink. By the end of our meal 3 of us were sharing one water because we never got a refill on even that. Sure, I could’ve asked my server for a refill but we had to catch her on our way to the bathroom for her to even come back to our table to get a check. THEN we gave her our card to cash us out and she had that for a good 5 minutes or so while we sat there waiting to leave and waiting for boxes. A table around us had been sitting there for 10 minutes without anything and finally a server came over with waters.. dropped them off without saying anything to them and proceeded to go behind the bar and take a shot.. yikes. The table behind us also had to go look for a server to cash out but sure! Take ur shot! Place was cute, won’t be coming back.

Bad bad rude staff no experience no hospitality all needs to be re trained very rasict. Some of the head bartenders/security treat the place like there own playground. They have no regard for little italy or the community.

My wife and I had a horrible experience at Toli on the evening of May 15th.

We stopped in at approximately 8:30 pm and stood at the bar for about 2 minutes deciding what we wanted to drink. A woman behind the bar walk over and told us that unless we had a reservation, we had to leave. My wife informed her that we planned to go to the bar. The woman said I'm sorry but there are no seats and you will have to leave. Well, there was a single seat open at the bar. My wife was going to sit on it and I was going to stand behind her. However, after being told to leave twice, we politely turned around and left.

I'm 64 years old. I don't think I have every been treated more poorly at a restaurant. We will never enter Toli again.

This was a great little place! Our food was delicious and came with a side salad and bread. Had the stuffed hot peppers appetizer which I grew up eating and haven’t had in a long time. Delicious! The sauce was SO good! Definitely recommend. I had the burrata pasta and my husband had the sausage tortellini. Wonderful! The waitress was busy but attentive. We sat in the bar area, so it was a little loud due to the basketball game, but there are plenty of seats elsewhere if you want to avoid the noise.
