We are new to the neighborhood and happy to be just a short walk from TOLI! Food service and vibe are all great. Can’t wait to go back!

Just left work down the street where I'm the General Manager...wanted a burger more than life rn. Walked in with a friend, we sat at the end of the bar where the girl was handing off a cocktail and speaking about the private bday party in the back. She never looked at us or acknowledged our humanity. Then we waited patiently as she did a few other things for other guests sitting at the bar, we are patient as we do this work on the daily. THEN a party of 4 walks in and goes to the nearest booth, she immediately acknowledges them and tells them she will be right over with water and menus which we proceed to watch her do.
Nope. Done. We left. She never acknowledged us nor did she follow bar etiquette. It was a learning lesson tho bc I told the gentleman I was with, who also works for me...that if he ever did that he would be fired on the spot. I realize we work in fine dining but damn. I've also worked in dive bars and know the newest guest gets served.
She lost out on AT LEAST a $40 tip as we all AT LEAST leave a 20 plus future business. Fun times.
Walked in and made eye contact with the bartender. It was a slow Tuesday night at about 9, and got completely ignored. She greeted a table as soon as the walked in after standing next to us and ignoring us for 5 minutes. Very disappointed in the way we were treated. We’ve been multiple times, and service just seems to be going downhill

We happened into TOLI because we went to Little Italy on a Saturday night without a reservation. This was our first mistake. Our second mistake was staying seated at our table even though the aromas in the room were of a potent cleaning agent instead of food. If you’re just up for a bar with TVs playing sports, okay. But in Little Italy? No. We were served cafeteria grade food at restaurant grade prices. Service was fine, tho on the slow side. If you’re out for a nice Italian meal, this is not the place.

Ordered drinks at the bar while waiting for our table. The bartender/manager seemed annoyed. After being seated at our table, my dad waited 45 minutes for his soup. They served us flat, awful tasting Guiness. The rest of our appetizers took over an hour. When I complained to the manager, he made excuses of being busy and short staffed but there was no apology. I could go on and on but it completely ruined our evening.
TOLI is always a hit for us. Amazing food and good drinks in an awesome atmosphere, Little Italy!

All three entrees were cold. Steak had no flavor, accompanying veggies were burnt and there was something on the plate that may have been another vegetable but was burnt so badly we couldn’t tell what it was (yes, my friend even said that’s what he gets for ordering steak at an Italian restaurant). Pasta buratta was just ok, nice presentation but the chicken was overdone and just placed to the side of the plate and overall just very mid. Breadsticks were frozen style and barely warmed through, bottled salad dressing. I guess we were just expecting more authentic Italian than Olive Garden.
Seemed clean enough though the bartender did throw a trash bag in the can and head straight to a table without washing her hands. Our server clocked out midway through our meal and never told us. To this point, refills and anything extra had taken a very long time (which is why we didn’t complain. We were ready to be done with the experience). The girl who took over seemed nice enough (hence the two stars, because I think she tried but then it was too late) but we had to go up to the bar to pay after waiting a solid 10 minutes for someone to cash us out.
Long story short, there are much better places in Little Italy. Never again.

Neither a dive nor fancy-schmancy. Good place for you and maybe three friends to eat and watch a game.

Was there yesterday for lunch and service was incredibly slow. We were there over an hour before we got food. We would have left but one in the group hhad a foot in a cast and all of us had a time constraint that discouraged starting over elsewhere. Even when we first arrived, getting a menu took a very long time, and placing the order also took too long. Finally, the long wait for food started. And rhe floor at the tables in the alley had not been cleaned recently.

I am sorry to say that 5 out of the 6 meals were delivered only slightly warm and the only reason the 6th was properly hot was the order was mixed up so that person didn't get his meal till 15 minutes after our food was delivered so it came right out of the kitchen. Most likely the server was over-worked and our meals sat in the kitchen waiting to be delivered to the table. The food had good flavor but not the right temp. I was looking forward to the dinner and disappointed. The place is nice and the drinks are good. The apps were good and served hot. Not sure I will give it another chance or not.
